Atlanta Must Do’s

When your clients ask you to come to a summit in Georgia you go. I always wanted to go to Georgia so this was a huge mark off my bucket list. Luckily when I travel my cousin and sister join me. We have filled these past two days with some awesome experiences. We are in walking distance of Peachtree Street where a lot of great restaurants and bar are. Some fun shops but I needed more. I wanted to make sure I was seeing ALL of Atlanta.

What do you want to do J? Um honestly I don’t care as long as I get to try real southern soul food simple yet home-cooked food. Well today I did and it was well worth the wait.

We went to Busybee Cafe. Locals go there. People from all over go there. It’s off the map not near our hotel not in a busy or prettiest part of Atlanta but we didn’t care. Even our Urber driver was hesitant. We still said nope here’s where we want to go. We wanted the best fried chicken in Atlanta and well we got it. Fried chicken, fried green tomatoes, broccoli casserole, fried okra, Mac and cheese. Cornbread and mashed potatoes. Hello soul food! Like a big warm hug. There is await. A long one but so worth it.

I must say ALL our Urber drivers have been awesome. We are an outgoing group so it’s easy to start conversations but these drivers were so fun. On our way back to our hotel our driver gave us all the places in Atlanta to go to. Can you please bring us to them I asked.

Before you know it we are at the house Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. grew up in. We are at Krog Street where the whole tunnel is covered in artwork and graffiti and then she brings us to the skyline of Atlanta.  Amazing!

We have a couple more days to fill up some free time I have in between working and I am very excited.
