Focusing on Core Values...Do You Love What You Do?

It’s been a long three days but also filled with laughs and great bonding. A team of four of us got together to put some procedures in place. Long days. But awesome time together. They all live in Miami except me so made sense for me to make the trip down. Which I gladly will do again.

This one client of mine has been my client for over 10 years. We recently added an assistant to the team and as the practice keeps growing we are starting to realize one thing. We need to keep our team dynamics the same.

Currently all our core values are aligned. We genuinely care about this company. Our leader. Our brand. It’s really important. It’s almost a family dynamic.

We care so much that when looking to hire a company to help promote his book the “mommy bear” instinct in me came out. I questioned her proposal, fees and expected results. My client took it back to her to clarify before making a decision.

When I mentioned family and friends who have worked crazy hours in the financial industry my client turned to me and said like you. You’re always on call for me. He was right. When you support entrepreneurs there’s no 9-5. It’s being available when they need your support and doing it because you enjoy what you do. It’s taking the lead and making sure everything is lining up. It’s definitely not a boring job. Everyday is something new.

I really love being a part of this team and look forward to growing with them as they grow.

You can’t do what you do and not love it. Life isn’t ok with that. You must find your calling. Things you enjoy and put all your effort into it and your best work. I hope you too go to work every day saying I love what I do.

Chocolate Bars That Say It All: Moodibars

I am sitting at the airport and take a walk. I buy a water bottle and find these cute chocolate bars at the store.

I was cracking up!! I purchased those three for my girls but wish I could buy the whole series. So of course I look up the website and they have a ton of different times. So creative and clever!!

Peruvian Food at It’s Best

When someone asks if you like a type of food always be willing to go and try it. That’s my philosophy in life. I once took a friend to Indian food after he insisted over and over he isn’t a fan of it. Guess what. He liked it.

So when my coworker asked if I liked Peruvian food I automatically said yes let’s go.

No regrets! It was amazing.

I had him order my dishes. I wanted to get the right experiences. Be sure to always do that too. When someone takes you to a new place to try have them order for you. They usually pick the specialty items.

So it started off with ceviche. I usually had it with shrimp never a white fish. It was delicious. He then ordered  Papa a la Huancaína which is their yellow potatoes with chicken salad. You think the potatoes will be warm but it’s chilled and soft.

Then my main dish was delicious.

Tacu Tacu a lo pobre. Which is skirt steak with plantains and a rice bean mixture that is refried topped with an egg. Comfort food to the max.

For dessert Picaones. Which is

their traditional donuts . Sweet potatoes and pumpkin. They were so light. Not greasy at all. Served with a dipping glaze.

Amazing!

Food is about experience. Feelings. Culture. It’s so many things than just eating because you’re hungry.

Argentinian Empanadas from Patagonian Bakery

Do you want to pick out lunch or shall I surprise everyone?

The best answer we could pick was surprise us.

He came back with two dozen Argentinian empanadas. Chicken. Beef. Chorizo. Cheese. Ham. That was only a selection of what the bakery had to offer.

Now I love empanadas. I have tried Columbian. Cuban. Indian. Venezuelan. So when he came with Argentinian I was very excited to taste test them.

The dough is like a light bread. Not heavy. The chicken was my favorite. Shredded and flavorful. The cheese is like a dessert one. The beef is like a stew inside. It was my second favorite. They have this bakery all over South Florida

Happiness Is A Choice

Don’t base it on people around you. Who is in or out of your life. Just be happy. Under any circumstances. Choose to be happy.
