You’re Pretty Powerful

Be proud of all you have overcome ❤️

Insomnia Cookies

So what’s the big deal about these...they deliver you cookies until 3:00 am. The history is really cool. Started out in a guy’s dorm room. Really clever. So I have been seeing this place every time I went to New Haven and finally gave it a try.

You walk in and it smells amazing. The price isn’t bad at all. 3 cookies for $5.26 or 6 for $9.99. They are warm and gooey and delicious.

Our Holiday Fun Night...Happy Holidays To...

Every year my sister and I go out as a gift for Christmas. We don’t exchange gifts but I do make her a bag of presents from “Santa” for her to open on Christmas Morning. She buys for my kids. I am her Santa. It’s a fair exchange.

So we always try to go someplace fun. Dinner and drinks or wherever we end up.

A friend told me about HOME Restaurant in Branford so we started there. It felt like “home” inside. The bartender was awesome. The chef came out and spoke to everyone. Delicious. We even tried an awesome drink with chocolate and limoncello. We ordered their beef stragonoff egg rolls. This was amazing. They were huge. Swiss cheese and the meat was so tender. With a side of gravy for dipping.

So good and not greasy at all.

Then we ordered the hummus. All homemade and fresh. Really delicious and super tasty.

Great place. You can tell a ton of locals go there. Front room had couches you can sit at to eat. In the back it had more dining tables. I always love sitting at the bar. You mingle with other people. There is plenty of parking across the street. Really great place.

This year I wanted to go to Miracle in New Haven. I had a ton of fun at the Pop up Holiday bars in New York City and wanted to see what was local. As soon as we walked up I smiled.

It was so fun inside. Everyone super friendly and helpful. The menu had so many fun different drink options. I love New Haven and walking around. Last night was raining so the crowd wasn’t too crazy when we got there. It was perfect. The egg nog was delicious.  Spiked of course. Every cocktail came in a special holiday glass. So creative.

After we stopped in one of my favorite spots,

Elm City Social. I love it here. They didn’t have the igloo seating due to the rain but still was decorated really nice and I am a huge fan of their back room.

We definitely have been enjoying the holiday season. I hope you have too! What’s your favorite spot been?
