It’s Ok To Not Like Everyone
You’re not a fan of hers. I replied you’re right I am not. I don’t like how this person always throws jabs at me or interrupts me. I don’t like how they get carried away. You don’t like her. No I don’t and it’s ok. I also don’t like how their voice changes triggers me. I know I have to keep conversations short because they will escalate. I don’t like to be around people I am on guard with. I like to be myself.
I think what’s not ok is if I caused a fight when I was with this person or made them uncomfortable or hurt their feelings. I don’t. I just ignore them. I am quiet around them and keep my distance and that’s ok.
I think people think we are suppose to love and care and be nice to everyone. I don’t think you have to. I think you have to keep peace but keep your distance. I think you shouldn’t talk bad about them or hurt them but if someone hurts you or doesn’t make you feel good it’s ok to separate yourself from that person. Just because this person acts one way with someone doesn’t mean how she acts with me is the same because it’s not.
It’s ok to distance yourself respectfully. I think it’s time you take charge of your life and focus your energy on surrounding yourself with people who make you feel good.
I also think if problems can be fixed sure fix them but some issues go back a lifetime and well just keeping the peace seems to be the best solution. Some relationships and friendships can’t be repaired. You can be civil but don’t force things. Accept them and carry on.
Let’s Just Drive & Look For Holiday Magic
I went out to dinner with a girlfriend. We both kindof are seeking the same things in life. Yet we are both completely different. We like the simple things. So after dinner I said I really haven’t been in the holiday spirit until recently. Can we just drive around and look for Christmas lights? Her face life up. Of course. She said.
So we did. We just drove around. We don’t even know where we ended up but gratefully for maps we made our way back home. We stopped and grabbed hot chocolate. Talked about everything and anything. Have Christmas music blasting and took in the creativity around us.
Really a great night. Sometimes the simple things make the biggest impact. So thank you to everyone who decorated your house. Thank you for bringing some holiday magic into our lives and everyone who drives by your home. Cheers to you for adding some happiness to people who you don’t even know.
Don Carmelo’s Mexican Restaurant in Norwalk
I have driven by this place so many times yet never went it. If I only knew I wouldn’t have waited so long...it’s delicious.
The staff is super friendly. The food is authentic and delicious. We ordered stuff jalapeño peppers. I thought they would be like poppers. Nope. It was a real pepper seedless, stuffed and lightly fried. Then we both ordered steak fajitas. Delicious. As the meat sat the dish got tastier and tastier. The price is very reasonable and you get a ton of food.
The best part...my friend ordered a coconut mojito. It was beautiful and delicious. I never saw it on a menu before or tasted anything like it. It came with white coconut shavings on top and sugar cane- which is my favorite. So fun.
I would totally go back.
Happy December 1st...
May this be the best month you’ve had all year. The ups and downs. The lessons. The people who have come and gone. This is your month for you. No one else. No more giving yourself to people no more questioning life and decisions. Take this month for you. I have a feeling you deserve it. I have a feeling it will be your best month ever!
