Mom Of Three...

Being a Mom to three girls means always having someone there to help you do your makeup. It's these little moments that make your heart happy.

Halloween Fun Filled Weekend

Halloween Fun Filled Weekend! Halloween is my favorite. Wasn't sure what to do this weekend with kids at their dad's but managed to fill my calendar up nicely. And it was spooktacular...From helping out at my daughter's school's Halloween party to going to a wine tasting paired with Halloween candy to eating spooktacular food at lunch today totally don't mind a rainy Sunday night in with my three munchkins. Hope you all had a great Halloween weekend.

Wonder...Bring Books To Life Through Pumpkins & Classrooms

This week I got to join my daughter's classroom to help them create their pumpkin theme
for the book Wonder. The theme was for every class to bring a story to life through pumpkins. Then people got to vote and kids got to purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win their class Pumpkin. There were some amazing pumpkins on display.

Kidville...We Will Miss You Tonya!

What an amazing, fun, Lady. We have been going for years and always greeted by Tonya's amazing smile. She will be missed but we wish her the best of luck on her new adventure!

Marriage Killer...Bet You Never Guessed It...

Just read an article and this is so true and gave me some "aha" moments "The reason marriages end in divorce is because of one thing…unmet expectations.” That’s a marriage killer!" Yeah, who knew and makes complete sense! Not only with marriages but also applies to friendships, jobs and life in general. When we have expectations and they aren't met it leads to frustration and anger and fights  and that is why things end the way they do!

Hand Made Uma Descendants Hat: Mommy Win

Oh my how Friday nights change when  you're a parent....I couldn't find a hat or wig anywhere so decided to attempt one myself. Must say HUGE mommy win. Of course I spent my kid free Friday night making this  and couldn't of done it without the help from my big sis. I took my daughter to Michael's craft store this week and she picked out this perfect yarn for $5. I found a pirate's hat at Party city for $8. My sister and I spent almost 3 hours on this project- I bribed her with dinner. But really we rocked this and can't wait for my little one to try it on with the rest of her costume.  We attached the braids to safety pins and attached it to the hat. Last time I made her costume she was one years old so was fun to hang out and put my love for crafts to good use.

Isn't Your Plate Already too Full? Nope!

I switched schools this year for my daughter, some of it was due to personal reasons some were not  regardless it was the best decision! She's happy, the atmosphere is more fitting for her, her values are peered up to kids with similar values, it's one of the best choices made this year! At her old school I was on the Governance Program,  which is an awesome committee with parents, teachers, the principal and board of ed officials. You discuss issues about the school and how to handle issues, situations, you even have a say in certain situations in participating in hiring new teachers on etc...all depends on what's taking place at the school. I served the board one year and loved it. Why? Because it gave you an "inside" of what's happening in the school, board of ed, issues that affect your child and all the children. Spots were open at the new school and three positions had to be filled. One spot remainded and I finally nominated myself after a push from a mommy friend and had friends nominate me. Well out of eight parents on panel three could get voted in and we all got a chance to vote this week.

Guess who got elected a spot? Yep, mom of three, entrepreneur, running an awesome business that I love and raising some super awesome, smart kids- yeah I can brag- why not! Is my plate too full- maybe- but not for doing something you have passion for. We all know by now that if my voice can be heard I will rise at that opportunity to have it heard!

No Explanations Needed!

Keep fighting for your happiness, you got this! ❤️

Sunflowers In Bloom: Oh How You Make Me Happy

All I wanted to do was see the Sunflower fields at Ambler Farms over the summer. When we finally went in August they were already gone. I was so bummed and moody and thought next time I am going to go alone. We always focus on making other people happy all the time that sometimes we need to learn to make ourselves happy too. So today I was super excited and pumped to see the sunflowers in full bloom at Jones Farm in Shelton. I lite up. Then I came across one smiling and thanked the universe for that magical moment. People think it takes a lot to make someone happy but reality is if you just listen to them their needs aren't really that big and happiness isn't that hard to give.

When To Step Back & Reflect

I took my middle one to Stepping Stones Museum the other morning while her sisters where in school. I like spending one on one time with my girls. I feel
it gives me a chance to reflect and connect with them. So there's a blackboard there and an area for adults and kids to write a message. The top board says "Adults, how do you want your kids to feel?" So I wrote Happy. I asked my daughter. "What makes you happy? Draw it for me" She replied "You make me happy Mommy"

If was really heartfelt and had me take a step back and reflect. Life is crazy. There's some situations adults go through and try to keep things normal for the kids and sometimes you can and sometimes you can't. But our job as a parent is to protect our kids and make them happy and feel loved and secure. That's what parents need to fight for. That's what parents need to make as their lifetime goal.
