Happy Diwali!
Happy Diwali! Diwali is the five-day festival of lights, celebrates new beginnings and the triumph of good over evil and light over darkness.
We lit a candle and put it at our front door for good luck for the year. We did it last year and I must say we had an amazing year. The girls grew and matured so much. They made great memories and friendships. Work was amazing. I got to travel a lot. Met some amazing people. Loved. Laughed. Made some amazing memories.
Cheers to another amazing year ahead of luck, love, great health, life lessons and spiritual growth.
Happy Diwali!
Halloween Sunday Funday
We get together every Sunday for a big lunch. It’s a lot of fun. This week we did a Halloween theme. We all dressed up and celebrated Halloween together.
The cousin get to play. The adults get to hang out and catchup on life.
My sister always makes an awesome dessert. It’s a great time and gives us an opportunity to stay close.
It’s fun to dress up and get into character mode. What’s your favorite Halloween costume?
Why Not...
But...
Let go of that. Just enjoy it. No over thinking. No second guessing. Enjoy the why not!
Women Don’t Ask For A Lot
We don’t need the world. We don’t. Well most of us don’t. We just want to feel confident in our companion’s world. You know like “the only girl in the world.”
When was the last time you felt like that?
The Notebook...
I watched this tonight. Not my first time. Probably my fourth or fifth. Every time it’s like a fairytale. The truth of love and trials and ups and downs. That of two people are meant to be together they will be. That there will be highs and lows but in the end everyday they choose eachother.
Who is living a fairytale? I had dinner with a friend last night and I said it’s so sad so many people are feeling “stuck” in a situation. That so many people decide the rest of their life’s have to be a certain way and they have to be ok with it and just deal.
It doesn’t have to be that way. In life you let go of situations. You move on. You fix yourself so you can be happy and you risk letting people go not knowing if it’s goodbye forever or not.
We all have our ups and downs. We all have our what ifs but what if I asked you if you’re happy. If you’re in a situation because you want to be or because you’re stuck and have to be. What would your answer be?

The Beauty Of Growing Older
Be true to what you want. What you need. How you feel and who you are. Always 💗
Haunted House...Well Sort Of...Halloween Fun
I picked up this kit. I figured it would be a fun craft to do with the kids. Before I know it there was candy everywhere.
It was easier to use regular icing to build the house. I then split up the candy and added some more snacks I had. I made the icing orange and spread it all over the house. The kids were free to decorate it however they wanted.
They loved it and it was a lot of fun to do together.
Now the trick is to keep it for a couple of days without them eating it.
Kidzfest 2019
I love touch a truck events. You normally pay a fee to get in or some ask you to donate food. There are trucks everywhere. The kids can go in the cars and check them out. They have entertainment, food trucks, face painting, games etc...
They are always my favorite festivals to go to with the kids.
So I took my girls and one of their friends to the one today at Taylor farms in Norwalk. It was so much fun.
Towns normally have these events now until mid November. Be sure to check them out. It’s really a lot of fun.
The Healing Journey
It’s easy to talk about after you have healed but when you’re going through it nothing about it is easy. Nothing. And so you distract yourself or pray or stay busy. You don’t slow down. Slowing down means you have to think. When you think you hurt.
But then something happens to you. You wake up and say not today. Today I want to be happy and not sad. I want to just live a good happy life. Slowly you get your wish and you do live a good happy life.
And scars from the pain remain. Those don’t ever go away fully. They gradually piece themselves back together through love from family and friends and companions. In time you piece yourself back together. You enjoy life again. You love again. You are happy again.
So if you’re dealing with pain or healing I wish you strengthen. I have been there many times. I am
proof that you do shine bright after you have healed. Trust your process. Ask for help. Distract yourself with those who love you. Take your time to piece yourself back together. Do know it’s ok to be a little broken still. Don’t allow the pain to resurface. If it does feel, heal, move on.
Our journey isn’t meant to be easy. Our journey is meant to teach us lessons. Some really hard, dark, painful ones. But then beauty comes out of it.

It Started Out As A Regular Morning and Then...
I was driving my girls to school. I dropped off my oldest and was heading to bring my little ones to school. On the radio I heard a contest. It said “If pumpkin is the number one Halloween costume pets wear on Halloween what is the second most popular costume?”
I shout out a hot dog. My girls said what. I said the answer has to be a hot dog. My middle one says oh I get it and laughed.
I called in and before you know it I am on the radio and so are my girls and we won a weekend getaway.
