It’s Ok To Feel But Then What?


What you feel is what you feel. There’s truth in it. You gotta let them come to surface and understand them. 

You can be feeling a ton of different things. You can be happy but reserved. You can be scared but excited. You can be hurt but hopeful. You just can’t act out on emotion. You can’t be impulsive. You can’t beg for things to go your way. 

You may want to share how you feel with others but fear rejection. You may fear someone misunderstanding your emotion. Some people dismiss your emotions and honestly that always got me pissed off. You don’t have to agree but to dismiss is not validating. 

You also have to understand that you may feel one way for someone and they won’t feel that same way towards you. That’s the kicker. It’s hurtful yet uncontrollable. 

I have learned over time that it’s ok to open up. It’s ok to feel something even if someone doesn’t that same way about you. Rejection actually makes you a stronger person. Sucks at first but trust me it helps build your confidence. 

You can’t keep things in. It will destroy you. You have to let them come to the surface and deal. 

Our ultimate goal in life is to focus on happiness.  To be happy deep down. To not let our emotions hide or get the best of us. Do let them come to surface. Understand them. Deal with it. Move forward.
