I was in 1st grade. I slipped her a note and asked “Will you be my best friend? Circle yes or no”
Gratefully she circled yes and we have been best friends since. Over 30 years and a ton of chats and laugh some tears lots of adventures and we are still going strong. I pray my girls have a friend like her. I pray they spend their life with someone who has their back. Tells them what they need to hear even if it’s not what they want to hear. It’s a lifetime bond. She turns 40 today and I am forever grateful for our friendship.
