Open Door Tea In Stratford

What a cute tea shop. A friend asked to meet here for breakfast. It’s so cute. When you walk in you’re hit with an awesome aroma of different teas. You go up front and order and then they give you a little timer for when your tea is brewed. You drink out of porcelain tea cups. A fun experience and great pricing. They have vegan treats to purchase, as well as energy bars and organic food. I love trying out new places in different towns. When was the last time you tried a new place?

Molto in Fairfield Mommy Time

We all talk almost every other day yet it’s always difficult to get together. Finally last night, short one person, we made our way to dinner. The reason I love this group of gals is because they are so easy and fun. All our personalities get along really well. Plus it’s nice to have moms of like aged kids so you have someone to turn to for support and advice. They totally crack me up and I really love them all.

Last night we headed to Molto in Fairfield. I must say the wait was extremely long for a table of 5. They do not take reservations there. It was a warm night so as we waited we stayed in their patio area with our Sangria.  The manager was pretty awesome I must admit for apologizing so much for our wait, having a beautiful  mozzarella platter waiting for us for when we finally sat down and catering to us. It had smoked mozzarella, prosciutto, burratta- my weakness, olives, tomatoes, roasted peppers. This dish is perfect with wine and bread. A whole meal on its own.

Our dinner came out super fast. At this point we just ate whatever we craved, fried artichokes were delicious, they have a gnocchi with butternut squash tapa- girls raved over it. My weakness is pesto. So after the week I had I had to get the gnocchi with grilled chicken and pesto. For dessert their tiramisu was a favorite, the cannoli cheesecake was so pretty. I got the cannoli dip. I was actually too full to enjoy it but it was fun and cute presentation.

There are hundreds of restaurants out there. So when you experience something you don’t like you don’t think to go back.  It’s not an easy industry but I must say the way the Manager took care of our table we will totally go back. The girls even ordered food to go for this weekend.
