Baking Fun for St. Paddy’s Day

I love baking. I also have a lot of patience when it comes to baking with the kids. I let them do it all
Even crack the eggs. This time I took some chocolate batter and added a twist: baileys.

The kids got their vanilla cake with cream cheese frosting and the adults got the baileys chocolate cupcakes. I must admit they both were delicious and the kids had fun making them.

Oh 2019...You Weren’t So Bad Afterall!

It’s Been Tough For All Of Us

We’re not even a week in. It’s been a tough situation. I almost hate all the hype and the what if’s and mights and maybes. I am more like give me the facts and then I will deal with it. Especially talk of schools maybe not going back until the Fall. I just feel it causes anxiety and chaos and all along little ears are listening.

My middle one was acting up. I asked her if she was scared. She broke down crying and said yes. I get it I said. So we just hung out and I let her cry it out.

It is scary. It’s hard to have the routine be off. It’s hard to hear about people getting sick and life basically coming to a halt and change.

I know you feel it too. I know your family is overwhelmed like mine. I just say to try to be patient.  Try to be extra loving and try not to jump to conclusions without any facts. We are all living one day at a time. We are all in this together. We all need to be strong and supportive.

Crockpot Corned Beef & Cabbage

I nailed it!

I always make this dish every year and it’s amazing. Only one year I messed it up. Not this time. This time it was perfect. I let it cook 9 hours. Recipe below.

An Irish Blessing For You

💚

Heal Your Mind, Heal Your Body

We have the ability to heal our mind which helps to heal the body. Meditate and during it picture healing hands glide over you. Not touching you. It starts at your head and slowly goes above your body slowly gliding all the way to your toes. As you do this you will feel warmth in places that need healing. Breathe in and exhale the toxic you feel within.

I love this process. I picture me doing it to loved ones too. It’s a healing meditation.

Have Faith....We’re All In This Together

I try not to let it overwhelm me. It is hard. It’s hard for you. It’s hard for me. It’s hard on our kids and families and friends. When we think it’s being overly cautious and then we watch the news and we just want to pray and heal the world and everyone around us.

Remember there’s still good. There’s still beauty in your life and days. We are all feeling the same way. Try to be patient with one another. Try to be supportive and helpful and loving. Try to not let this destroy you but give you strength. 💗
