The Library Wine Bar in Wallingford

This place was delicious. My honey mustard glazed chicken was incredible.

We went with another couple. It’s in a restored library. It’s really big inside and pretty. Cozy. We had burrata and lobster ricotta gnocchi as an appetizer.

They even do a buffet brunch- which I can’t wait to try. I can’t wait to come back.

How Far We Have Come

I have known her for years and then we dated friends and became really close. Once those relationships ended she reached out. It was perfect. She helped me get through some really hard times. We partied and laughed and cried and created some great memories.

We lost touch and reconnected again and this time I look back on who we were years ago to who we are now.

Our relationships now are so stable. We both found two great guys who really are perfect for us. Who make us feel like no one ever had. Heard. Seen. Respected. Valued.

I mean we are fine on our own. That was one thing we truly learned but to meet nice men who love us. That’s icing on the cake.

We randomly text words of affirmation and she’s not like anyone I ever met. She’s unique. Special. A ray of sunshine.

This picture was from three years ago and popped up as a memory. When we were two girls just trying to find ourselves, love and happiness. Embrace life and everything that was coming at us. Mend our broken hearts. I wish we could tell those girls life is just going to get better. Glad it did!
 ❤️

Never underestimate the value of anyone in your life.

Smash Ave in West Hartford- Give Me Something To Break

This was so much fun!! So fun that we are doing it again this weekend but this time I am taking my boyfriend.

I have had my share of unbury to heal and self healing and getting closure but this experience was amazing. You just break stuff. Literally. You’re in a room. You have tools. You just smash away.

We had a speaker going with our songs and we went to town.

Much better than any therapy I ever had!

Our friend got it for our birthday last year and we finally went. I suggest boots to wear since things you smash you step on.

We even smashed a TV. You gotta go!

Tubing and Dinner In An Igloo At Powder Ridge

What a fun time we had. Every year we take our kids tubing. It’s our Family tradition. This year we rented an igloo to have dinner after and it was a hit!

We did tubing for a couple of hours and walked over to the restaurant Fire at the Ridge. Our igloo had couches and a heater.

Kids asked if we can add the igloo to our yearly tradition! I agree with them. It’s a great idea!

Back 9 Social: Virtual Golf Course

Virtual Golf…I must say I wasn’t good but it was a lot of fun.

We were suppose to go back in November for my Boyfriend’s birthday with his Best friend and wife but had to reschedule due to Covid.

It’s really a cool activity to do. You get your own area with bar stools and can order food and drinks.

You can pick short games to play or a real golf game. After we played darts.

Learn more here https://back9social.com/ in Wallingford.

We are going again next month to one in Fairfield CT at Golf Lounge 18.

Have you ever been to an indoor golf course?

Sit With Things Before You React

I love listening to the Angry Therapist. On his recent post he talks about lessons he wish he knew when younger. A lot I already knew but he said one thing that stood out. Sit with things before reacting.

Ironically this picture then popped up on my phone as a memory. It was a trip we took kids to Vermont in 2021. This was on top of Killington Mountain.

Sit with things before reacting!

I have come a long way in my journey of life and this is still one I have yet to conquer.

I don’t hold on to stuff. BUT when I am upset in the moment I have to talk about it and at times I come off strong. If I don’t discuss it I create scenarios in my head and it’s worse. I have to learn to sort it out alone first. Realistically. Because I already have the control to let go of it fast after we discuss things but in the moment I could explode inside even I don’t discuss it.

“Try to understand before being understood.”  It’s not easy! But I know it’s something I myself have to work on.

How do you react to things? What would YOU tell your younger self?

Girls Night…Fairfield CT

I always loved Fairfield. So many fun restaurants and places to go. So last night had a girls night with my three and we went to Mecha and Crumbl for dessert

We love Crumbl because they always have weekly flavors. They are really sweet and rich so we cut them up so they can try them.

Just Be

I saw this by artist Amy Charlette. It’s a representation of just being. Being what you need in this moment, in your life.

We always feel we should be doing more, but we burn out.

I woke up burnt out. Thank goodness it’s Friday but looking forward to hanging in with my kids this weekend and just not rushing to be doing things.

Just be… everything else can wait!
