There’s No Catch...Just Have Some Fun

After over a year my divorce was finally finalized in November. The journey taught me a lot. I definitely wasn’t the same person from when the process started. I actually grew to love the person I became through it all. My ex is an awesome father to our girls but there’s a time in your life when you have to accept when your journey with someone has ended.

Once you learn to be alone. Really fully alone you are kindof reborn again. You start to become selfish. And selfish not in a bad way. It’s your time to date yourself. Be your own friend. I started to make a bucket list. I started to explore new food and restaurants. New events. I started to wake up and say wow what a great life. I am happy. My kid’s are happy. Life is good.

You have to be able to sort through a lot to reach that point.

Now a single mom to three girls, 10 yrs and under. I may never want to marry again. I don’t want anymore children. I just want fun. Happiness. Good adventures. I want to wake up and go to bed with a smile.

I am not saying you have to be divorced to have this mentality. I am saying going through the process helped me reach this mentality. Enjoy your life. Embrace it.

Seek happiness and let’s have some fun. Where everyday you wake up and look in the mirror and smile. Where stress isn’t preventable but it is part of life. Try to let it roll off your back.

Wafu Korean BBQ Westport CT

I am always looking for new restaurants and food experiences to check out so when I won a Gift Certificate to Wafu Korean BBQ in Westport I was beyond excited. I had Korean BBQ off food trucks before and I even make Korean BBQ Short Ribs so I knew I would enjoy it, just didn’t anticipate LOVING it.

There were some really delicious appetizers to choose from. The drink list was very creative and I must say they nailed the Tropical Margarita- delicious. It was my first time tasting Tuna Tartare. I know I know I am a foodie yet I couldn’t bring myself to try it until last night. Delicious.

We ordered pork belly as our entree. They come and bring a ton of fun sides to put in your lettuce wrap with the meat. Pickled. Spicy. Savory. It was so fun just trying all the sides.

Then the waitress comes with your meat. It’s raw. She puts butter in a skillet and cooks it with onions and some veggies. It was such a fun, delicious experience. The staff was so nice!  Be sure to go give it a try. We can’t wait to go back.

I Am Back...It’s Been A Journey

Sometimes you get caught up in life. Work. Outside noise. Stress of life consumes you. It’s ok to take a step back and take a break.

So I did.

One Thing All Moms Have In Common

Stop Justifying Actions! Be You!

I saw this and it was spot on. For a long time people told me to change some of the qualities I actually loved about myself. I loved being carefree and happy and seeing the good in every situation. For years people rolled their eyes at me for being this way so I stopped. I became bitter and mean and angry and guess what that sucked. So I am back.... Happy. Carefree. Seeing good in situations. It’s me. You don’t like it. It’s ok. But I am never changing again.

Hey Stamford Food Truck Festival

We spent the day here yesterday. So much fun! The weather was perfect. They have the whole park filled with food trucks. Music. A huge beer tent area where you can also get Wine, spiked seltzer or mojitos. We even stayed to see Tony Loc perform, rapper from
90s who sings wild thing.

Today is day 2 of the event. Be sure to go down and check it out!

This was the most amazing thing we ate. Cheese fries topped with pulled pork and coleslaw.

Kona ices helped keep us cool. We tried their cherry and pink lemon.

Fried Oreos.....yep!

My sisters favorite thing we got today.

Grilled cheese short ribs with onions. Delicious!

I went simple this time. Vanilla Glazed donut with sprinkles from Donut Crazy Food Truck.

So many naughty food trucks to choose from. Was really cool to see this salad station.

Overall we really had a great time. Great vibes. Great food. Great company!

September Fest

No Expectations...

I once read that relationships and friendships fail due to “unmet expectations”. What if we all learned to go into a relationship and friendship without any expectations. That just for the purpose of pure happiness. Not for financial stability or for someone to take care of us but just for someone to enjoy our company. Wonder how many friendship and relationships would still be around...
