Hey Stamford Food Festival 2019
It was the perfect day. PERFECT. The weather was perfect. The food trucks were perfect. We stayed for hours, until closing and walked and ate and listened to music and drank and ate some more and laughed over and over. It was so much fun.
Ok Food Trucks...where do I begin. A ton to pick from. We started off at my Favorite Melt mobile. I had their Pork U Pine.
This is the only meal we didn’t split well because I didn’t want to share to be honest. You can’t share. It’s that’s good. It’s my favorite. Pulled pork with pickles grilled cheese.
I could eat this over and over.
Next up...
Lobster Quesadilla from Cousins Main Lobster. So good!
Then fries with the works. I mean hello! Amazing pork fries.
I should stop but I won’t. Only because we spent hours here and walked over 15,000 steps. Laughed so much and hung out. Then ate some more.
Fried Oreos and fried pickles. I know what you’re thinking where’s the healthy stuff. They did have some trucks with healthy items but we weren’t in a mood for that. I love fried pickles and don’t normally love fried Oreos but these Oreos were the best I ever had.
You can say our steamed burger was healthier than anything we ate. I was mixed about this one. Tasty yet Mind was confused because it is steamed.
They have the festival taking place today. $20 admission. So worth it.
Always an amazing time. Always a favorite event of ours. Always great memories laughs and amazing stories.
I laughed at night and said hey we didn’t eat dinner. Instead we then went out and danced all the calories we ate. Was a night not to forget.

No Plastic Bag Humor In CT
Don’t forget your bags...I must say 9 out of 10 times I am the girl who spends 10 cents on each paper bag. Because who can remember to bring in a bag?!
Let It Find You...
Whatever I ever loved I stumbled upon. Like it fell infront of me out of no where. Times when I searched hard it felt unnatural. Now I say I surrender. If it comes let it. If it doesn’t so be it. Let it find me. Let it find you.
Let your soul be at peace and happy at any stage of your life. Let what’s meant for you come naturally. Like no matter what happens it can’t keep you apart. You wake up and go to bed thinking of it.
Trust me...magical things happen everyday. Pay attention to what’s around you. Pay attention to the signs. To what makes you smile. What makes your heart happy.
After all the chaos in life it’s nice to know what’s meant for you will always find it’s way to you!
Know Your Worth...
Nothing at all is actually better than a little. Let me explain...
The whole time when you’re getting a little you’re holding on to false hope that you brought upon yourself that it will get better. Thinking it can be a little more and guess what you won’t get it from that person. It’s about letting go to find that one that wants to give you it all. It’s about saying I don’t deserve just a little of your time or attention or love or friendship or respect. I deserve the whole freaking thing. If someone can’t or isn’t willing to give you the whole freaking thing then have enough courage and love for your own self to say I rather have nothing at all.
Everyone Leaves A Mark
Everyone leaves a Mark. I was talking to a friend who said this. It’s deep and true. You’re a wise man I replied. I feel the same way. Our journey with people tend to come to an end but we ride it out with them hoping it will change. It doesn’t. Things start to get weird and hard and anger sets in and pain and it’s like enough. We needed to close our chapter when we still had peace in our hearts towards one another.
We have a lot to learn.
Bring Out The Child In You
Heal anything you have in your life that is holding you back from having a normal, healthy, relationship. Not just with a guy but with everyone in your life. Bring out the child in you and be happy.
When Your Best Friend Comes Home....
There’s no words to describe when your best friend texts, “ save the date I am coming home.” It’s like a big warm hug. She’s the type I can tell anything too. Judge free zone but always gives me her honest advice and you know what.. I love the people in my life that can do that.
Don’t tell me what I want to hear. Tell me what I need to hear.
Sono has changed in the last 3 months since she has been home. We checked out the new rooftop bars which I love so much and she loved too.
I introduced her to the Burrata and let me tell you Harlan Public in Sono got it right. I am a sucker for pesto. So when my friend who works there brought out the dish I just smiled at him knowing that this would
be good. I honestly didn’t know she never tried it. It’s my favorite.I always explain it’s a type of meal that messes with your head. You think it will be warm because it’s melted and gooey inside but it’s actually chilled cold. Inside is like a creamy ricotta cheese filling. It’s delicious. I love when people try it for the first time around me. The expression is always the same “Oh Wow”
Then we ordered their tempura shrimp. I actually crave this dish. It’s a little sweet but not too much. It’s perfectly tempura but not too heavy. Maybe like a General Tso texture. Amazing! Shrimp is meaty. She kept saying I am only going to have one more. We couldn’t finish it that’s how much we got.
These are both appetizers but large enough to be a meal.
We all need feel good people in our life. The type that can be our everything type of people. Night in, night out, happy times, sad times. Real in your face truths that you don’t want to hear. Real encouragement that you love to hear.
I always say I hope my girls find a friendship like ours. 32 years and still going strong.

It Was Always Your Decision
When helping someone keep in mind the decision is theirs. Always. Take full responsibility for your own decisions. Don’t reflect on to others when you don’t like the decision you made. It’s your life. Your choices. Your decisions.
Advice helps clear you head. Your decisions is what you choose to do.
Own them.
Turn It Around...
I woke up with good intentions and then things started to happen.
A handy man fairy was on his way to my house. I couldn’t believe how excited I got. Then one blind size was incorrect I went to the store and it kept ringing up for 1 cent. Someone very close to me messaged her biopsy was negative for cancer. Such a relief. I stopped by two places to get paper work and everyone was so friendly and I was in and out within minutes.
What’s happening here I thought. Laughing and smiling. Thank you universe. Thank you for this amazing day.
These days aren’t magic. This is how life is suppose to be lived. Smile. See good in everyday. Thank the universe for when things come together. Be grateful for when things can turn around.
You got this. I got this.
