Haunted House...Well Sort Of...Halloween Fun
I picked up this kit. I figured it would be a fun craft to do with the kids. Before I know it there was candy everywhere.
It was easier to use regular icing to build the house. I then split up the candy and added some more snacks I had. I made the icing orange and spread it all over the house. The kids were free to decorate it however they wanted.
They loved it and it was a lot of fun to do together.
Now the trick is to keep it for a couple of days without them eating it.
Kidzfest 2019
I love touch a truck events. You normally pay a fee to get in or some ask you to donate food. There are trucks everywhere. The kids can go in the cars and check them out. They have entertainment, food trucks, face painting, games etc...
They are always my favorite festivals to go to with the kids.
So I took my girls and one of their friends to the one today at Taylor farms in Norwalk. It was so much fun.
Towns normally have these events now until mid November. Be sure to check them out. It’s really a lot of fun.
The Healing Journey
It’s easy to talk about after you have healed but when you’re going through it nothing about it is easy. Nothing. And so you distract yourself or pray or stay busy. You don’t slow down. Slowing down means you have to think. When you think you hurt.
But then something happens to you. You wake up and say not today. Today I want to be happy and not sad. I want to just live a good happy life. Slowly you get your wish and you do live a good happy life.
And scars from the pain remain. Those don’t ever go away fully. They gradually piece themselves back together through love from family and friends and companions. In time you piece yourself back together. You enjoy life again. You love again. You are happy again.
So if you’re dealing with pain or healing I wish you strengthen. I have been there many times. I am
proof that you do shine bright after you have healed. Trust your process. Ask for help. Distract yourself with those who love you. Take your time to piece yourself back together. Do know it’s ok to be a little broken still. Don’t allow the pain to resurface. If it does feel, heal, move on.
Our journey isn’t meant to be easy. Our journey is meant to teach us lessons. Some really hard, dark, painful ones. But then beauty comes out of it.

It Started Out As A Regular Morning and Then...
I was driving my girls to school. I dropped off my oldest and was heading to bring my little ones to school. On the radio I heard a contest. It said “If pumpkin is the number one Halloween costume pets wear on Halloween what is the second most popular costume?”
I shout out a hot dog. My girls said what. I said the answer has to be a hot dog. My middle one says oh I get it and laughed.
I called in and before you know it I am on the radio and so are my girls and we won a weekend getaway.
Check me out:
You Must Accept to Move On
💛
We don’t always have control over situations. We get dealt a situation and we only play a role in it. Sometimes the role we play isn’t fair nor good for our heart or soul. But then something happens. We gratefully adjust to the fact. We gradually move on. We gradually know that you can love someone and it doesn’t mean they will be in your life. Just means you carry them in your heart.
You then distract yourself. You meet new people. Create new memories. You grow. You love yourself more and heal parts of you.
It’s ok to move on. Even if it doesn’t make sense. It’s ok to love someone or have memories or a heavy heart. It’s ok to know that we are all here learning everyday. Some days are better than others. Some people you will always have tears for and that too is ok.
It’s being torn between your head and heart. Knowing what needs to be done and your heart feeling it wants to do something else.

The Little Things...
This morning’s car art courtesy of my kids ❤️ I walked up to my car and laughed. They totally get me.
Thursday Vibes...It’s Ok
It’s been a weird week. Where my intuition has been spot on. When I thought of someone. Then they reached out and I woke up to my phone suggesting a photo memory of an event we attended in February and I smiled and said it’s ok.
It’s ok to have people in your heart and mind but not your life. It’s ok to miss someone. We all think we need a bad or civil agreed ending. Some times things don’t fully end. Sometimes time just passes and we move on with life..slowly. But regardless it’s ok to have memories. It’s ok to have good or bad days. It’s ok to love someone even after they have hurt you or things didn’t end up the way you wanted.
Coming from a long marriage I had a lot to learn. After dating and meeting someone who I cared a lot about I had a lot to learn. Even now I am learning. But I do know I rather have civil endings to situations than hurtful angry ones. I don’t want to carry anger in my heart for anyone nor want them to have it in their heart for me.
You can love as many people as you want. You can have people come in and out just as long as you know that some things remain in the past and some cannot be a part of your future. You can start again and still carry memories with others with you. Things don’t always come to a complete end and I am happy accepting that verse knowing something has ended forever.

Can You Be Too Happy?
We all have had bad times in our life so now we can appreciate the little things. Being happy is a big goal. Pain still carries in our hearts but how amazing when we can see beauty in little things. When people around us bring out the best of us and we love life. Fully. Happiness. Pure joy.
So what’s this being too happy about. I had to look it up and found an article.
So maybe being too happy to some may seem bad. I won’t lie. I have my good and bad days. I can snap and just like everyone else need my alone time but I also realized that my happiness changes based on my audience. When I can be my true self. Without being on guard. I am 100% a ray of sunshine. Happy. Bright. When I am on guard. Overwhelmed or need to watch what I say or do I am not.
I think most of us can relate to that. Bottom line your happiness varies based on what makes you happy in life. Simple things make me happy. Good company. Good conversation. Me being real.
What makes you happy?
Live In Balance
Forgive. Let go. Move on. Have balance. Have happy times.
This week I was great and then a memory popped up. I said out loud why am I thinking of this person or situation.
It was ok to let it bring me down but then I had to say let it go. Keep going. Right! Isn’t that life? You just keep going.
Stay positive and motivated.
Live in the Now
Sometimes it’s all in your head. Really it is. Sometimes we think about situations and it triggers an emotion in us. What if we lived in real time. The present moment. We would have so much less to be sad or worry or mad about. We wouldn’t stress like we do. Let’s try it. Let’s forget the past. Forget past hurt and pain and anger. Live at this current, present, moment.
Let go of what should have been or could have been or would have been. That life is gone. Anything this year that let go of you means time for you to let go of them. Any love you have for someone who didn’t reciprocate it to you doesn’t deserve to be lingering in your mind.
Stop. Let it all go. Now live in the present moment. Focus on what’s around you NOW. Who is around you. What you need now. Not then. Not the past. Not the future. Now.
