Memories Are Where You Leave Them
I try to start my day at the gym. It’s like the healthiest and cheapest therapy. I love it. It’s not just about releasing stress or being skinny no it’s about connecting with yourself. I blast my music and get lost in my thoughts.
So the year of healing is about unburying deep wounds. Bringing them to the surface and then dealing with them. Owning your part but healing. Forgiving. Repeat behavior makes forgiveness hard.
This song comes on in the middle of my workout. A ton of emotions and memories rush over me. Not good ones. Painful ones. My whole moods changes. I should change the song BUT I don’t. I feel the emotions. All of them. I even replay the song because I want the wound to heal. I want it to not resurface again. I won’t lie it sucked. I was at the gym too not even at home where I could feel. I was in the middle of my workout. My heart rate changed. I got hot. My whole body tensed. But I allow the process to happen and didn’t distract myself to ignore it.
We are all wounded and need healing. Repeat behavior will never heal the wound. It’s like picking at a scab. It will get harder and harder to heal.
I had to face some truths today. I had to feel.
You have the power to take control over your life. This is your life. No one has the right to hurt you or prevent you from healing. But do yourself a favor. Don’t bury it.

Trust The Process
Nothing stays the same. Believe it will be better than a year ago or a before that. That the process is happening the way it should. That the best is yet to come.
It’s A Learning Process
What we needed twenty years ago is different than what we need now. Everyone changes. If you don’t grow with your companion it causes problems. What I found attractive in a person in the past isn’t what I need now. We all evolve. We all look for different things in life.
Learning what you really need is a good lesson. Learn what you need and want in another person. Make a list. Don’t settle.
Protect Your Emotional Health...Always
I just didn’t want to feel the same way anymore. After years and years of the same run around I had to say to myself you’re fighting for peace-yet again. It’s so very silly. It truly is. I don’t have to give this person power or the situation control over how I feel.
My fight will soon come to an end and I realized that I have to just go through process yet it didn’t have to get the best of me. To leave it up to others to handle. That what’s meant to be will be.
You have to learn some things won’t change and some people won’t ever change and you have to understand that’s ok. You don’t have to be upset about it just don’t let it consume you or be a part of your life.

Being 50 In 2020
Is not what it used to be. I couldn’t believe how amazing she looked. I have guy friends who are 50 and look amazing but Jennifer Lopez was pretty impressive. Inspires us to know if we take care of ourselves we can age gracefully.
Super Bowl Eats
I know it’s about the game but really for me it’s about the commercials and well the food. So not sure what you have planned or what’s on your menu but below are some fun recipes to please your guests.
What Does A Soulmate Do?
❤️
They inspire you to be your best self. To shine. They support you when you’re down. They look out for you. They are your best friend, lover and companion. Soul mates don’t complete you they help you complete yourself. They help you see your flaws and triggers and work it out. They want to protect you yet help you through your journey and lessons.
Be your best version and the right one will come along.
Guava Jam Pancakes
In my previous post I sent the steps to making the jam so this morning I am making pancakes and added some guava jam to the batter. It was amazing. Hot. Yummy. Even my oldest daughter said it was delicious.
Try it. If you enjoy guava then you will enjoy this.
Guava Jam Recipe
I had ripe guava and decided to make jam. I of course looked up a recipe and found this online video at the bottom. The results were delicious. The girls loved it and I am sure I can use this concept with any fruit.
First you cut the fruit and top water on it.
Boil for 30 minutes. The kitchen smelled amazing.
Then you drain it and strain it.
You keep pushing it down with a spoon until you get a pulp like mixture. You want to try not to get a lot of seeds to come through.
I added a cup of sugar. Turn it until it thickens on medium heat and they spread it on buttered toast for my kids.
OMG! Delicious.
Below is the YouTube video I googled to make it. I didn’t have lime so instead add a pinch of salt.

Where True Health Comes From
Imagine this. You have a really rough week. You are overworked and tired. Kids sick. You are looking for a break. You then surround yourself with people who make you laugh and feel loved and then you wake up feeling amazing.
It’s situations like this we are always facing. Being over worked. Unpredictable days. Routine changes. Chaos. But then there’s someone who always makes it more manageable or helps you see the bright side and allows you to vent and laugh and enjoy life.
We all need people like that. That’s true medicine those types of people. They are good for us.
