Get Up & Get Moving
I hit my goal by 11:00 am. A great friend part of my mommy group texted last night asking if anyone wanted to meet up in the morning. I am always up for a workout on the mornings I don’t have my girls.
It’s awesome moving and working out outside. It feels different to the body. The air is so fresh and great for your lungs. Then sun is amazing for you skin.
Once we hit our last way around I said my legs are like jello. After an hour I was feeling pretty good and loved hitting my goal before lunchtime.
Get up and move. It’s amazing what it does to the body and mind!
Taco Co and Matto in Shelton
I have been wanting to go to Taco Co forever. A friend suggested I go and he knows what I like and well he was right. It’s so cool.
We walk in and it’s packed. They say we have a wait and we can sit at the bar. I love Shelton. I have been coming for years. I dated someone before in the area so knew the great restaurants but let me tell you my love for Shelton even got better.
Taco Co is beautiful inside. It’s bright and big and I loved the vibe and ambiance. I was totally digging it.
I am speaking to the hostess and I asked what happened to Barro down the street. She says they sold and Matto bought it. We actually own that place too she says. I asked how was the food. She said just as good if not even better.
Let’s go I say to my friend since we had a wait anyway. We walk in and it’s packed. I put our name in and somehow I started talking to the host and he tells me it’s the same owners as Molto in Fairfield and Zazas in Stamford- which I love them both!
I knew we were in the right place. We stand near the bar and a couple gets up and says we can have their sits. Just then Taco Co texts me. I call and say we are at your other restaurant instead.
The ambiance felt just like Molto and Zaza. The food was delicious. Great prices. Huge portions. The bartender was awesome. We then go back to Taco Co for dessert.
Churros and fried ice cream.
Bridgeport Ave in Shelton is such a fun strip with great places. I loved Taco Co and Matto and would totally go back.

Happy International Women’s Day!!!
Rock your day! Is a text I send to my friend everyday and she loves it. Why? Because why not. I think women have come a really long way. Where rules no longer apply. Where the “norm” is what you make of it. I will tell you there are 8 of us in our immediate family EIGHT!!! And two men. Imagine?! We rock it. We have each-other’s back. We have lifted eachother up. We are even amazing role models for our younger ones.
Women are meant to be loved and treated gentle and kind and also supported yet not to be viewed as weak!

Gals Day
We haven’t had an adult girls outing in a while. Started off with us going to check out a diner which lead to us all hanging for hours locally instead. Regardless where we ended up we all had the same agenda in mind- to just enjoy each others company.
Cherish the people in your life who make life sweeter and better and kinder. Cheers to all the amazing ladies in my life.

Be Grateful For Your People
No it’s not a coincidence! It’s part of your plan and journey. Appreciate and cherish and respect your people. Your tribe. Your go to. The ones who love you and make you laugh and smile and be hopeful. Those are your people. 💗
How You Feeling? Been Feeling Good!
Back in January I had a bit of a wake up call from my Thyroid Doctor. I wrote about it here
“Leave it to the Specialists” Where I thought I felt great but my levels were NOT good at all. So after a good yelling I received I took her serious and did exactly what she told me to do. 6 weeks later my levels are amazing and I graduated to seeing her in 6 months.
Plus side: I feel great. Down side: I am alternating between two dose amounts everyday. So this takes some paying attention on my part.
I learned a great lesson from this.
1-Always Listen to your specialist
2-Always pay attention to your body
3-No one has it easy even when things are good you need to constantly work at it
I hope you too are feeling amazing!
Happy Friday Peeps!
Friday Tip For Change
It’s so silly. I know. And simple. Trust me. But I read a book once that said little changes in the morning alter your whole day. Imagine that?!
So they said when you wake up and roll out of bed stand on your two feet at the same time and....
Make Your Bed
Yeah yeah we know. But really I swear I do now every morning. Most mornings I make mine and all the kids too. I know not ok but really make your bed. It’s so simple but a little step like that makes a huge difference and honestly a made bed makes the whole room look cleaner.

When In Doubt....Communicate
Communication is so key and I don’t mean yelling or arguing. Don’t always assume. I swear this week my eyes opened up a lot and changed. All from one conversation. A simple conversation with someone I had in my life for years. One simple conversation changed our whole dynamic. I am super happy but I swear I can’t believe it took this long to have it.
Communication is always so hard for people especially in a relationship. Screw it. Just have it. Talk. Don’t hold back. Don’t assume and do it in person always. I know everything happens for a reason and it’s right timing but really my whole outlook changed from someone I had infront of me all along.
Will it last. Who knows. Will it be something we both need for the future to come, who knows. But I will tell you if we had this discussion back when we met maybe just maybe we wouldn’t have had to wait so long to be at peace and where we are at today.
Thank Your Past & Move Forward
Not all things from your past are bad it’s just served it’s purpose and now you embrace the new and changes.
March 5th Embrace The New You
The transformation is unreal. Legit, peaceful, happy. You see it in the way you handle situations. You see it in the way things that once bothered you don’t bother you anymore. You see it in the people you choose to spend your time with now verse then. It’s amazing!
