Positive Vibes For The Week Ahead

How’s Your Mindset?

There’s Always A Light At The End Of The Tunnel

You can’t have a great life without having to go through some tough times. You can’t have a great relationship without some hard discussions. You can’t have good days if you never knew of bad ones.

Tough situations make us stronger. They help us grow. Love differently. Respect one another differently.

There’s always a light at the end of the tunnel.

Practice the Pause...Process To Have Healthy Discussions

We sometimes create our own problems and stress. We can over think or assume. We need to stop doing that. What if when a situation happened you paused. Stop. Really process something before reacting.

Don’t you think a lot of arguments and disagreements could actually turn into health discussions!

Healthy discussions. Where you’re able to speak your truth or fears or concerns without having to defend yourself. Where you can bring up something that bothered you or bothers you without it leading to a screaming match.

This is an amazing thing if you’re able to do it. It’s on both people. To be able to have uncomfortable discussions in a healthy manner. Where you don’t feel judged or attacked.

I love it. I love being able to have healthy discussions. Whether it’s with the guy I am seeing or a family member or my ex or my kids or friends. It’s when the discussions can’t be healthy that people internalize everything.

Practice the pause and process. Aim to have healthy discussions.

You Won’t See A Change Until You Change

Break your patterns and cycles. If you want something to change in your life you have to take that step. No one will make the change for you.

I hope this time stuck in quarantine helps us all focus on what’s important to us. What we appreciate. What we want and need to change. How we can change.

I have been more at peace now than ever. I have looked within to really focus on what I need to change. I couldn’t expect anyone else to do it for me. I had to do it for myself.

Change can be uncomfortable but nothing is more uncomfortable than staying the same while expecting different results.

Be Free

I Love The Time I Have With My Kids

Is it hard. Yep. Is it a lot of work. Yep. Is it awesome. Yep.

Last night we made Easter cupcakes and prepared the French toast bake we had this morning. I blasted 80’s music. If they fought I made them pay eachother a compliment as their punishment.

I have extreme patience when I bake with the kids. I don’t know why. But I do. They love it. They crack the eggs. Measure the liquids. Whisk. You name it.

It’s a fun way for us to bond. No electronics. Just doing something together for fun.

Communicate: What Does It Really Translate To?

This is so true and important.

April 12th Challenges Help You Grow

When Did You Feel Like You Again?

I was speaking to someone and he said you know when you kept asking me what’s wrong. I don’t know. But this last week I haven’t been myself.

Which was funny because I kept calling him out on it. My intuition was spot on. He said I don’t know why. I said well our routine had been off. We don’t have structure. Our lives have changed.

I felt it too. I was literally crawling out of my skin from the lack of routine. I had to refocus. He had to refocus.

It helps talking it out. He went on to admit the last three months prior to this he was finally content and happy and himself. After years he was finally himself again. I joked it was because of me but reality is I get it. I was too.

There’s moments in your life you lose yourself. You have to regroup and then you become happy again. Content. Satisfied with your life. I was happy for him. I understood it. I was myself again too. Then we go into quarantine and everyone the first two weeks went numb. We just had to process what was happening. Then we start to adjust to a new “norm”.

We live in fear and it’s hard. But the beauty is we know this won’t last forever. But our lessons do.

Being content and happy and living a simple life is rewarding.

I have what I need right now. All my avenues are being met. Can they improve. Absolutely. Am I grateful. Absolutely

There will be times. Especially now where you we don’t feel like ourselves. That we get in a funk. Please be sure to create a new routine. To have happy moments. To have conversations when you need to.

It’s so important to have people in your life you can communicate with. I have known this guy for years. These last couple of months our dialogue changed so much. It’s like meeting eachother all over again. I must admit it’s awesome. Easy. Simple.

Shouldn’t everything in life be awesome. Easy. Simple?

I think so!

I hope you’re adjusting to your new norm. I also hope you know it’s temporary. Find beauty in the little things. Simple things.

Happy Easter...Buona Pasqua

This may be the last year I can get away with them matching outfits so I had to enjoy every minute of it.

Easter was different. Hard not having the extended family around. Some cousins came to drop off gifts. Was sweet. Still miss them and we are all wondering what will happen once life goes back to “normal”

For now we are just grateful for being healthy and well. Grateful for the love we have in our life. Our family our friends.

Cherish those who love you and who you love.

When This Is Over...

Maybe this is showing us who and what matters. Who we want in our lives. Who we appreciate, love, miss...

Happiness Depends On Who You’re With

❤️

This is so true. When you’re with your favorite people it doesn’t matter what you’re doing your heart will be happy. Respect. Honor. Value. Those people.

Easter Traditions

You have to color eggs. It’s hard not having Easter with the extended family but I still wanted to keep traditions going with my girls.

Next was making Easter bread. I love making this. I have been doing it for years. My favorite is adding cinnamon and sugar to the recipe. I eat it for breakfast with cream cheese. So fun and delicious.

And it won’t be Easter without an egg hunt. It will just be us doing it this year. It’s ok. The girls still had fun helping me stuff the eggs for the hunt Easter morning

What Easter traditions are you keeping alive? What’s keeping you sane? What activities have you been doing with your family?
