We Aren’t THAT Complicated
One thing I realize is you have to ask for what you want and need and that’s totally ok. People don’t read minds. When I met the guy I am dating I told him some things I wanted and he actually listened. He has been doing them ever since. Why? Because I took the time to tell him what makes me happy.
It’s ok to tell people what you need and want. What’s not ok is expecting them to understand without helping them realize what you need. It’s that simple.
Set your boundaries. List your expectations. Tell them things that will make you happy. How else do you expect to get what you want and need?
6 Going On 16
Her birthday started off like all their birthdays...breakfast in bed for all.
I love this tradition. It just sort of stuck. They get to pick what they want to eat and they all sit in bed together and eat together. It’s actually super sweet. A treat for all.
My youngest is probably the most independent. She’s super smart and spunky. She loves to clean and be helpful. She’s super stubborn and stands her ground. It keeps things interesting around here. But at night when I tuck her in she grabs my head and puts it on her chest. She then pats my back and kisses my forehead and says there there you can rest now.
Cheers to turning 6. I hope today and everyday she feels our love.

You Just Know...
Fine isn’t an option. It never should be. Never settle for fine. Believe you deserve more than fine and you will get it.
Oh 2020 Humor
I hope you all have electricity and if not I hope it gets restored soon. But really has anyone seen an Eversource truck around town?
The Blue Oar Restaurant in Haddam CT
We were cruising along and saw a sign for this place. You pull in and it’s like a boat yard. You cross over tracks and below a long steep hill in the corner is this awesome cute restaurant on the river.
All the picnic tables were different bright colors. The menu is small yet delicious. We got shrimp salad and lobster roll. Their potato salad was delicious and for dessert key lime pie. It’s a casual spot and they only take cash. No liquor.
Was the perfect summer spot for lunch.

Enjoy The Adventures Of Your Life
Did you know you could rent a motorcycle for the day? What a cool find. We talked about spending a day riding around Connecticut so when he sent me pictures of a bike I couldn’t believe we were actually doing it.
I haven’t been on a motorcycle since Highschool. Yeah long time ago. I was a bit nervous but knew he was responsible and trusted him. He had bikes for years so it wasn’t new for him. But since he sold his it was nice for him to ride again. It was the most amazing experience. We rode for hours. We started in Durham, CT. Went to Haddam, Chester and Middletown. We spent all day riding past lakes and ponds and little towns. Farms and barns. It was so relaxing.
It was a gorgeous day. Not too hot. Perfect for riding. The roads up in those areas do not have a lot of traffic.
Did you know bikers have their own wave to other bikers? I didn’t until we were riding and I saw them all doing it. It’s a lowerwave down near your leg or a lower peace sign. We always did the left lower hand wave. Learn it here Every biker did it to us and you do it back. It’s a sort of mutual respect.
We had helmets with blue tooth so we could talk to one another the entire ride. I loved it.
I felt like I was a teenager again. It was an amazing day.
When was the last time you were adventurous? What adventures have you been wanting to take?
