Hello Indian Food!
I have grown to love Indian food. It’s all about choosing the right dishes. I also learned that once I put something in my head I won’t be happy until I have it. Food cravings are unfortunately one of them.
I stumbled upon this dish when my boyfriend chose it. He never had it before either but it sounded good to him. The broth is like a cream based soup. I feel it’s a mixture of pumpkin spice or butternut squash. Regardless it’s delicious.
Chicken shah korma. It is my new favorite. It’s delicious. The base of the sauce is honey and turmeric and cashews and other amazing flavors. Trust me. Order it. It isn’t spicy but has a hint of heat. I promise you will love it.
Then there’s the Aloo Naan Paratha. Their stuffed naan bread with onions and potatoes.
Writing about it makes me want to eat it all over again. Thankfully I have leftovers. Trust me try this!

Joey C’s Boathouse in Stratford
What a great place. It’s huge. Huge deck. Live music and karaoke. I have been wanting to go for a long time. Dockside is across the river which I loved so it was nice to be able to checkout this spot.
We ordered a ton of stuff. Pina Coladas. Calamari. Truffle fries- which were delicious. Shrimp fajitas. Our family even got the mussels and raw oysters. We ordered an endless amount of food. We are holding on to summer for as long as we can. The kids loved it and we went during lunch time so the rush wasn’t there.

Guava Pastries
It’s not exactly like Miami’s guava pastries but it is close. My sister knew I loved Guava so she surprised me with them. Ironically she bought them and I didn’t know. She told me Entermann’s made these so when I went to the store I looked for them. I couldn’t find them and later that day she told me bought some for me.
I must say they are pretty delicious.

Let’s Go For A Ride
At least a couple times a week I take the kids for a ride. Just to get out and distract ourselves. We always end up driving through the beach. I have been taking them to other town beaches for the day but I must say I love having one 15 minutes away.
There’s just something about having the sand under your feet. It grounds me. It has always been a life goal for mine to have a beach house. I can’t wait for that day.
Everyone has goals and simple pleasures. The beach has always been one of mine. What are yours?
Baby Steps...
Take that step. Towards a new life, career, adventure, relationship, degree, whatever it is. Just do it. Do it for you. ❤️

Pinstripes in Sono
It was a really nice night to eat outside. We even had live music. A guy was playing the guitar and taking requests. At one moment we felt like we were on vacation.
We ordered the bruschetta. It came with arugula and ricotta cheese. Really tasty.
We ordered grilled chicken sandwich and ribs. Both were delicious.
They make their stuff fresh in-house. Their mayo had shallots in it and was really good. Their ketchup reminded me a little of salsa.
Love that we have so many amazing affordable restaurants in the area and LOVE the outdoor seating options everywhere.
