This Month’s Read...Think Like A Monk

Jay Shetty is amazing. I follow him on Instagram and listen to his podcasts. I was super excited to get a copy of his book. What’s it about? Basic life. How not to judge. How to follow your passions and values and most importantly to live in peace and happiness and with purpose...his lessons being a Monk. So far so good.

Axe Throwing At Adventure Park in Fairfield CT

I love axe throwing. I have been to the one indoor in Bridgeport but heard about the new outdoor one at the Adventure Park and wanted to try it out. It is more expensive per lane but you can have up to 5 people and when you break it down per person it is less expensive.

It’s set back in the woods. You have people zip lining over your head. It’s entertaining. They just opened this up so ask for some feedback and of course I provided it. Overall it was nice to be outside. You work up a sweat throwing so being outside is much more comfortable. We were able to use all three lanes since we were the only people there.

Be Like A Caterpillar

Hello Indian Food!

I have grown to love Indian food. It’s all about choosing the right dishes. I also learned that once I put something in my head I won’t be happy until I have it. Food cravings are unfortunately one of them.

I stumbled upon this dish when my boyfriend chose it. He never had it before either but it sounded good to him. The broth is like a cream based soup. I feel it’s a mixture of pumpkin spice or butternut squash. Regardless it’s delicious.

Chicken shah korma. It is my new favorite. It’s delicious. The base of the sauce is honey and turmeric  and cashews and other amazing flavors. Trust me. Order it. It isn’t spicy but has a hint of heat. I promise you will love it.

Then there’s the Aloo Naan Paratha.  Their stuffed naan bread with onions and potatoes.

Writing about it makes me want to eat it all over again. Thankfully I have leftovers. Trust me try this!
