Better Luck Next Year

Jan 6th Manifest Joy

Don’t Rush The Process

Don’t rush. Don’t get inpatient. Just let it all flow. We, well I, used to always want to know the outcome so I rushed it. I had doubt if I didn’t get fast results along the way. I didn’t enjoy the process and would react.

No one knows how anything will turn out. Just let it flow. Enjoy the process and love every step of the way.

Believe in Yourself

Look For The Blessing in Disguise

Today’s Affirmation

Let’s Play Chess

I haven’t played in over 25 years. Weird right? I just never had the opportunity. My uncle used to play so when my boyfriend told me he’s been playing since he was in the Navy I said I would like to try it again. I haven’t played in so long.

He brought his board over and since then we have been playing. He left it at my place so I could play with my oldest. Ironically she wasn’t that interested but my little ones were.

My middle one is pretty amazing. She’s not shy to take risks. She’s pretty aggressive in her moves. My youngest asked for me to take it easy on her which of course I did but her too understood all the moves really fast.

Chess-a simple yet complex game. A friend said it’s easy to learn but takes a lifetime to master. I have to agree!

Transformation Is Welcomed

Healthy Discussions

I don’t like the word arguing. I like discussions. Why? Because who the hell likes to argue? Not me but I always am up for a healthy discussion.

Disagreements are normal. We will tend to have them with people throughout our lifetime. But you must be respectful. You must honor the fact that no two people think alike.

Talk it out. When in doubt talk it out. I always love people I can learn from. I may not agree with their beliefs but it does educate me. Treat misunderstandings as a process to learn from one another.

There’s no need to get physical or loud. You can agree to disagree while still respecting each other and creating a healthy outcome so you both have an understanding that makes your relationship/friendship, mind and knowledge stronger.

Did You Set Your Goals?

We started this last year New Year. I wrote all of our names on a separate piece of paper and we listed some goals we had for ourselves and even suggested to others some goals they should work on. We then tape them to the fridge so they are reminders to us throughout the year.

It’s actually a great reflection too and I am surprised my girls are ok with it. I listed mine and asked my girls what should I add to mine. Then we went around a circle and everyone did the same thing.

It’s not to insult anyone or to make their weaknesses known. It’s about accepting we always are a work in progress and should always find was to better ourselves.

Mine were to practice more mindfulness, increase physical activities, do more yoga and be more patient and understanding.

What goals did you set for yourself? It doesn’t have to be in the New year. It can be every week or month or whatever you like. Just always be sure to work on bettering yourself so you can better the people around you and be better for the people around you.

New Year...New Memories

Today we read all our 2020 memories that we filled our vase with. Even though Covid was a tough and rough ride it was still nice to look back on the little things that made us happy.

We restart the vase today for 2021.New Year. New memories.

I must say it really is a simple yet beautiful thing to do. We all took turns picking a paper out of the vase and reading it.

We started our new 2021 vase and already had some things to add to it.

I hope 2021 brings you happiness...big and small.

Embrace Your Journey

Love Isn’t Hard Loving The Wrong Person Is

I was hesitant about sharing my relationship so openly. It had a lot to do with the fact that times I was in love it fell apart. Out of my control. Nothing I could have done to change the outcome.

So when I met him I honestly didn’t think it would turn into anything. But then I noticed he was different than the rest. He was emotionally mature. Didn’t carry any emotional baggage. Has a stable parenting relationship with his ex. He’s intelligent. Has a reputable type of job. As I started to learn the real him I started to fall hard.

When you open yourself up a flood gate of insecurities and doubt and past pain comes rushing at you. I had a hard time adjusting but I knew I had to change or this relationship wouldn’t work. At times I almost walked away due to fear. Fear of opening my heart and risking getting hurt.

But he always made it all see seem so easy. He was always so calm and understanding and supportive. Then we started to take our relationship to the next level. We created a routine. We met each others families and kids and we are now in a position to truly accept eachother for 100% who they are.

Will it be forever? No one knows or can say. Will I continue to enjoy  our “perfect relationship”without the fear of the end result. Yes. Because it’s perfect for us. For what we need and for who we are. It works for us.

It taught me I can be happy in it or out because I am happy with myself. For facing those flood gates of past pain and emotions and saying it’s ok. This is different this time. You handled that you can handle anything.

Love isn’t hard. Loving the wrong person is so freaking hard. Know the difference! Allow yourself to love the right one.

Change Your Perception

I read an article on New Years Resolutions here  It mentioned that the Chinese symbol for crisis is also the symbol for opportunity.

It made me think how when you change your perception on something you actually view things in a different light.

2020 wasn’t good. So many people lost their lives. Jobs. Careers. Companies. Homes. Health suffered. Careers suffered. Relationships suffered.

It’s hard to think looking at their situation turned into something good. I get it.

But we can look at these tragic situations as lessons to us. The people on the outside looking in. It made us be grateful for what we have. Value relationships and friendships. Appreciate the little things.

You have to believe all things happen to some how teach us. If not us then those around us

Be A Great Parent...Always

I can’t provide my kids a big home yet or fancy vacation yet but I will tell you I am there for them 24-7 and well that alone is greater than anything money can buy.

They never doubt their love or comfort or needs. I am always there for them no matter what. They have changed so much lately. They see my unconditional love for them and all three keep thanking me for always being there for them.

My oldest hugs me 100 x a day. My middle one would love to be by my side all day everyday. My youngest keeps kisses me up just because.

I never make them feel like they are too much. As a single parent working and homeschooling and having the kids all day everyday can be a lot. I have grown into embracing the role because the reward is amazing.

When my girls walk in my door I see a level of comfort and safety and love in them that I provide. It’s easy. Parents it’s easy to be a good parent. Not sure why some struggle with it.

Your job is to provide a safe easy non stressful atmosphere for your kids. At all times. To be attentive.

When they are at their dad’s or grandparents or anywhere but with me I assure them I always one call away no matter what. It’s not because I don’t trust where they are I do it because they need to know I am there for them no matter when and whenever and wherever. I need to provide a safe place at all times to them. Their lives have changed so much that by me providing stability and comfort it assures them that their needs are being met at all times no matter where they are.

Everyone needs that person they feel safe and protected with. If you can be that person then you have helped add security to someone’s life.

Be More

It’s not about what you have. It’s who you are.

Be Confident In Who You Are

How do you feel about yourself? Really think about it.
How do you view yourself physically and mentally?

We have all spent some alone time during 2020. We had less distractions and had to face our truths. Our fears. Our insecurities.

We had to reflect on our past and present. Where we have come from. Where we are going. What matters in life. What doesn’t. Who we want along our journey. Who we are willing to let go of.

What did you learn about yourself?

I learned when you’re confident in yourself. Meaning you accept yourself. Your flaws. Your strengths. When you truly accept yourself you are ok with any situation.  Because you build confidence in yourself. You trust yourself. You can handle anything because you know you’re strong enough to handle it.

Have you reached this stage in your life? If you haven’t please do.

We all need improvement. We all have to work on ourselves always but when you accept yourself you don’t project your insecurities on to others. You can have healthy relationships. You can be empathetic to others. You can process before you react.

It’s magical. I have reached this stage. I am not perfect but I accept my flaws. I know my triggers and insecurities and they are mine alone. I don’t blame anyone for them. I can have a healthy relationship with my boyfriend because I am happy with who I am.

Do you accept who you are?
