So funny since my client sent me a box from
Turkey and the Universal Yums box is from
Turkey.
I love when these come in. I let the girls go through it and we then put it on the table at Sunday lunch so everyone can enjoy it too.
This looks extra fun for the kids to try.

It’s Clay Time
I haven’t don’t this in years. This was my birthday gift from my boyfriend and it was so fun. I always loved the pottery wheel. It’s much harder than I remember. But after a while we got the hang of it and I think our pieces came out cool.
We get to go back and paint it. I love date nights like these. It’s fun to be able to do something different together.
We had a private lesson so was nice to have one on one guidance.

It’s A lot Of Work...Parenting Is No Joke
Grateful for being their mom and grateful for my mom
Parenting is not joke. This is so hard yet so rewarding. Weird right?!
How something so magical can be so draining. Yet everything good in life is that way. Highs and lows. Good and bad. It’s all part of the process.
What hit me most wasn’t the gifts they got me. It was other moms who texted me and said I admire you. That hit me today. That I don’t brag about my journey because I am by far not the perfect Mom but I bust my tush trying to be. I try really hard to love them and be there for them 100% no matter what. No matter where I am or what I am doing. I give them my all. What hit me was other moms saying how lucky my girls are to have me and how they look up to me.
They are moms too. So for anyone I can help
I will. For anyone watching please know I too have bad days. Hard days. Rough days. I too question if I can do better and be better. So thank you. Thank you for watching. Thank you to my kids for picking me.
Thank you to my mom for being my go to for everything and anything.
All we can do is try. I hope you know today and everyday you admire other moms too.

Happy Communion Day
It was her first communion today. My middle one. She was so nervous. Then she showed up at church and was perfect. She looked great. Happy. Relaxed.
After we celebrated at her favorite restaurant. Matto in Shelton. It was perfect. The food was delicious as always. Everyone was happy. The waiter was so good at his job. Everyone left feeling loved and full.
Normally we would have our extended family there but with Covid and vaccines and things so up in the air we kept it our close, intimate group.
It worked out really well and she was so happy.
We couldn’t have asked for a better celebration.

Turkish Munchies Box
My client and his team sent me this fun Turkish box for my birthday. They know I love goodies from all over so it was fun to receive this huge box. A lot of spicy snacks. Fun chocolates. They had so much in here. It’s neat to see how certain treats like pretzel sticks can have a twist. They added plain ones and spicy ones. It was fun to go to the box and try something new. I love fun gifts like these.

My girls gave me some gifts today. These are my favorite. I love craft made gifts from the kids. I love what they feel and think. I love how they choose certain colors to use and it’s fun to see their creative side.

Enjoy This Moment
Last week I had a discussion over not seeing eye to eye over the future.
Sounds so silly right. But it happens. What’s next. What if’s. All that. It’s normal right. I literally stressed myself out over it. Why? Who knows. Maybe because we wish we could plan out our lives as if it’s a perfect. Easy. Simple. Thing to do.
Well it’s not. No one knows what the future is. No one. We have to just live in the now. Moment. I will if you do too!
How Do You Know You’re Healing & Growing?
I love this. It’s so true. When things that once bothered you no longer bother you. When you thought you could never get over a person or situation and you did. It’s growth. It’s progress. It’s healing.
The famous word: healing. In your own time. At your own pace. Make that progress.

This is 41... I used to not want to say my age but after the year we all had and the struggles life puts us through it’s time we embrace our age and be grateful for another year.

Birthday Celebrations
It was an early birthday celebration and I must say was a great day. So as I reflect on my last day of being 40 before turning 41 tomorrow I have to say I learned a lot this last year.
I learned loving yourself is so important.
Friends do come and go.
Where you are today isn’t where you’ll be tomorrow.
At anytime life can change.
A pandemic is nothing to mess with.
Covid isn’t a joke. It’s real.
Find happiness in the little things.
It’s better to love and lost than to never love again.
You are in control of yourself. No one else. Ever.
You can get through a hell of a lot more than you think you can.
Love hard. Always. Who cares if it doesn’t work out. Love anyway.
Appreciate everyone. Always.
Be happy where you are in this moment. This moment is your life.
Thank those in your journey. At all different chapters of your life. No one is staying forever. Enjoy them while you can. Wish them well as they leave.
