Waterview in Monroe CT

I can’t remember the last wedding I have been to. Was so nice to be with family, dancing, eating and hugging. It felt like “normal” may be coming back into our life.

Waterview in Monroe was beautiful. We were greeted with flavored champagne. Beautiful ceremony outside. Cocktail hour had so many fun apps.

I loved the hall and we all danced the night away.

Lots of laughs and so much fun.

Today’s Rules To Live By

Berlin Batting Cages In Berlin CT

We were suppose to go apple picking. Then it turned into a road trip which lead us to picking up my boyfriend and his daughter and we spent the day having a ton of fun.

This place is so cool. They have go karts. I haven’t driven one prob in 10 years. My middle
one was too short to drive alone so she hopped in with me. I laughed so much as she screamed for me to go faster. My boyfriend had my youngest with him and he lapped us.

They have bumper boats which have water guns in them to squirt people and one another.

This was perfect because the kids got to cool down. They even got close to the edge and got us wet too.

There are two different mini golf courses. Regular and more challenging. It’s really pretty and clean. I love how my boyfriend has patience and shows the kids how to putt. It’s really sweet to watch.

We ended up with all of us in the batting cages. Even I got in there and swung the bat after prob 15 years. It was so much fun and great exercise. $.99 got you 12 balls. Which was a round in the cages.

We spent all day here. I highly recommend it. Very clean. Great prices and fun for everyone.

Have You Found Your Forever?

When you know. You know.

A picture of me popped up from three years ago when I started my dating adventures and today I am not who I was. I had some crazy stories. Fun times. A lot of waste of time too. I learned a lot.

My boyfriend knew within a couple weeks how he felt about me. I did too but didn’t believe it. Today, 14 months later, we both can say we are in this forever. We don’t need a ring to confirm it or anyone to agree. Just us both knowing this is enough and makes my heart want to explode.

Don’t give up until you find your forever person. Be grateful for the people along the way but do know that person is out there. Do know one day someone will look at you and say you’re my one and only… forever and let your guard down so you can believe them and enjoy this journey with them.

September is Thyroid Cancer Awareness Month

8 years cancer free. It’s such a surreal experience. I had cancer. While pregnant. I just dealt with it. Slowly as years passed I emotionally dealt with it. Every morning I take a pill that controls everything a thyroid would.

Your thyroid controls your metabolism, how fast your heart beats, how deep you breathe, how your weight fluctuates, your body temperature, cholesterol levels, and menstrual cycles. Any slight shift can cause a bunch of chaos. Luckily my endocrinologist is amazing and I do what she says. I remember she looked me in the eyes and said “if you do exactly what I say you will survive this and live a normal life”

So I did, she was right and here I am.

Chaka Khan Wednesday Nite Live In Stamford

I originally won tickets to see Boyz II Men and was so disappointed when they canceled but once Chaka Khan came on stage we knew it was going to be a fun night.

I took my sister and we can have fun on a car ride so I knew our night would be good. We laugh. We danced. We even got margaritas in this fun bag.

A night out should never be wasted even when plans don’t go originally as planned enjoy those moments.

Killington Peak: Gondola Ride

I have been to many amazing places so when we took the Gondola ride to Killington Peak I wasn’t anticipating being in awe. Well I was. I was speechless. The view was amazing. We were so steep and high up. The kids loved it. I literally froze and took in the view.

It was included in our all day pass and was worth every dollar. You have to go. It’s a 4,241-foot Peak,

We started to walk to the top of the mountain but my oldest hesitated so the younger girls went with my boyfriend and they came back saying it was their favorite thing to do our our trip. A simple hiking experience turned into a favorite memory. It was magical and I wouldn’t want to experience this with anyone else then our crew.

Okemo Mountain Adventure Park

We wanted the girls to experience a less intense adventure course so we took them here a day before Killington.

Have you ever been on a Mountain Coaster? It’s pretty cool but can be intimidating because YOU’RE in total control. You pull up to slow down and down to go faster. It’s a real track. With turns and it’s pretty amazing. So when each kid said “can we go again” we knew they could handle any adventure park.

They have a bouncey house, mini golf, mountain coaster and ropes course in the woods. We picked a hot day- not by choice- so didn’t stay too long. But did do a couple coaster rides and some mini golf.  Was great prep for the Killington Mountain Adventure Park.

Don’t get me wrong. It’s a great place. Clean. Pretty. Just smaller activity selection and they didn’t have all day unlimited passes due to Covid.

If you’re in the area check it out!

Killington Adventure Park in Vermont

Killington Adventure Park in Vermont was absolutely amazing! Our day pass here included unlimited rides on the Beast Mountain Coaster, K-1 Gondola, Zip Line Racer, Skye Ropes Course, Woodward WreckTangle, Soaring Eagle, Trampoline Jump and Amaze'n Maze access. The kids even hiked to the top of the mountain with my boyfriend.

The girls had so much fun and we spent the whole day there. It’s so adventurous and I am so glad they got to experience it with us.
