Sakura In Westport Is The Best Hibachi
My best friend was in town so we met up for a couples night out. They wanted something fun. Hibachi is always fun. I kept telling my boyfriend how Sakura has always been my favorite. He said all hibachi places were the same. Well then he tried his dinner and turned to me and said I was right.
It’s been here forever and always delicious. We had lots of laughs and the drinks were so fun. Needless to say the two tough guys had the most girly looking drinks. But they were delicious.
Years ago prior to being a Mom I visited my best friend and we drank scorpion bowls so the monkey was a great symbol of great memories for us.
We ended our night with fried ice cream

Parenting Isn’t Easy…Stop & Appreciate The Little Things
The rush in the morning can really put a damper on your mood. We did bootcamp but only half the time
because we rushed to find a decent set of pajamas since we got an email late last night it will be pajama day today.
Just nerves on edge. We try to make the best of it but it’s not always easy. So I load everyone in my car and stop.
I see this on my window. Most morning they draw on my car but today I stopped and took it in.
No matter how difficult it can be there is always something to stop and smile about. Always!
Rise & Move
I try to do bootcamp a couple times a week with my girls. I love it because I have them pick out the exercises to do in the circuit. Over the weekend my boyfriend and his daughter joined us.
My boyfriend even did Navy drills with them. It was adorable to watch. I love how my girls thanked him and hug him. We really have a great little family between the two of us.
Be sure to date someone who is not only good to you but also to your children. Who enjoy spending time with them. It’s not easy to find but when you do be sure to appreciate them. I sure do.

It’s That Time Of Year…Stew Leonard’s Halloween Display
I love this place. We always go and I love how they even have a display up for you to drive through. It used to be a hayride but since Covid it switched and we drove through it. Grabbed ice cream and drove through it again.
My boyfriend Mom FaceTimed us just as we were driving through and she even stayed on the call
to watch it. She loved it. So did we. And best of all it’s free.
Let’s Paint Pumpkins
Stop and Shop has these fun pumpkin kits. It’s perfect for the kids. They have fun or spooky sticker kits or painting ones. I bought a bunch of different ones so they had a variety to choose from.
They loved it and best of all the paint was washable.
It’s always fun to have a favorite of crafts for them to do to enjoy the Holiday season.
Graveyard Dirt Cups Dessert
I winged this and it was a hit. I love that Trader Joes has Halloween treats so we picked up these cookies. I made chocolate pudding and had the girls make their own spooky cups. We had candy and oreos and they layered it in their cups.
It was a fun activity for them to do and they said they were delicious.

This is the perfect fall drink. Two ingredients: ginger beer and Jim Beam Apple.
So refreshing. You gotta try it. I can’t wait to make it again this weekend.
TIP: Diet Ginger Beer is perfect too. No calories and taste the same.
On Track Karting in Wallingford
We have the best date nights. We have been go karting mostly at kid friendly places but this track is really cool and it had gas operating go karts. You go flying. I was laughing so hard driving this around the tracks. You’re in a race and competing against other drivers. They rank you. People come compete. They list your stats on their website. Each race is $25.
It’s so much fun!
