Atvs In the Mountains of Colorado

We last did this in Vermont but with a guide and about six other Atvs all following one another. This time they give you a jeep and a trailer. The Atv and keys. You get four hours to take this out and have some fun. Solo. No guide. No group. Just you, a jeep, trailer and atv. . 

There’s a gps in the Jeep and Atv. There are trails they recommend all having different things to experience. This one was rocky climbing up. You are up in the mountains. You look off to the side and it’s a cliff. 

At the top we stop and catch an awesome view. 

We got down a couple of times to walk around. It’s gorgeous. 

Pictures don’t do justice of how gorgeous it is. After two hours of ripping through the mountain I got off and let my boyfriend ride up solo. 

Two hours was enough for me. 

Flying After Covid

I haven’t flown in two years. The last time was to Colorado in 2019 then back to Colorado this week. I haven’t worn a mask that long. 

You have to wear your mask and just show your face at security as you’re going through with your boarding pass. No one asked for a vaccination card or proof of negative test. 

When I boarded Delta they gave us a hand sanitizer  wipe. I used for my hands and to wipe down my seat area. 

It’s been two years. Two! Prior to that I flown 5 times within a year. So to go this long was crazy. Covid really put a halt on life for all of us. It was nice to be back traveling even if it was while wearing a mask

Horseback Riding in Colorado…The Adventures

It’s been an amazing trip. We got in a lot of fun before I had to meet my clients today. 

This is Darcy. I rode her today. It was first time horseback riding. I mean I rode a camel before but never a horse and never in a mountain. It was scary at some moments. I did it for 20 minutes and then I got off. I loved going up but coming down was scary to me. 

Our guide was awesome. He came back and brought my boyfriend up higher. I didn’t mind taking a break. I was proud of myself for doing it. 

The view was amazing. I would totally ride again but on flat land and once I got comfortable I would come

Back to Elkhorn Stables and do this tour again. 

My boyfriend saw a herd of elk. I felt like I missed out then on the way back to the cabin he says for me to look out the car window. 

Elk everywhere!!! 

No matter how long I have been coming to Colorado it always takes my breath away. There’s always something new to see and do.

Fall Back This Weekend

When Things Don’t Go As Planned

I love this but seriously just yesterday morning I got fed up and said why do things have to be complicated. The week was full of great news and then followed by emotional roller coaster rides. What is this teaching me…

Finally I said Patience. 

Life happens. 

Every night when I am not with my boyfriend  and my kids are in bed we talk for hours. HOURS. This is someone I see a lot. Talk to a lot and every night we have hours of things to talk about when we aren’t together. That’s how busy life is. That’s how much things are going on. I don’t even realize it until we recap our days. 

Life is full of ups and downs. The reason for it is to teach us patience. To adjust. To know not everything has to be a problem. Relax. Slow down. Things work out when you approach it without stress or drama. 

I received a lot of great news this week. My daughter got into Academically Talent. A trip that was on hold for work is going forward and I am excited. I spent great solo time with my oldest daughter. All the stressful events did happen but taught me something and to honestly it helped me appreciate all the great things.

The best was my daughter arresting my dad dressed up as Trump.
