Are You A Hunter or A Farmer?

Before you answer this question, really think about the characteristics. In life, in a relationship, in your career, the type you are drives your habits.

Now to summarize it from my understanding the "farmer" is more typical. The farmer likes stability, structure, routine. The "hunter" is more risky and adventures. The hunter is like a cheetah- goes after what it wants with full speed but burns out quickly and moves on to the next. Easily distracted and likes change and adventure.

I for one am a farmer. I like routine, stability, I do not like unstable situations. They make me uneasy. I do like to nurture and do things a certain way. When unstability comes my way I go into a panic mode. Not healthy I know but something I am working on.

Now think of your relationship/marriage. Who is the Hunter and who is the farmer? Could two farmers get along better or will the relationship be boring?Could two hunters head down a path of adventure or is that too risky?

It's funny because I can totally look at relationships and name who is the Hunter and who is the Farmer. Take a second and see if you can too!

They use the Hunter and Farmer terms in business too with Sales.
Below it breaks down the two type of sales people.

Spooktacular Halloween Events At Norwalk's Stew Leonard's

I went with the girls to Stew Leonard's in Norwalk today to meet up with their cousins. It's really such a fun place. The kids did their hayride for $1.00 a person. They have awesome different kinds of pumpkins and of course after they enjoyed some ice cream. Stews even has a Halloween Trick or treating event schedule Tuesday the 25th in Norwalk.

Every Friday in Oct they offer a free movie night. It's super cute. The kids can come in their pajamas and seat on barrels of hay and watch movies.

Check out their list of Halloween happenings in Norwalk:

A Good Mom...

How My Daughter Views My Conversation With My Mother

Kids say and do funny things. I never realized how much they share with their class. The good thing is kids like to embellish everything so teachers most of the time do not pay attention I must admit I laughed out loud going through my daughter's school papers and seeing this!
Here's the word, explain what word means. Use the word in a sentence and draw a picture.

This is for the keepsake box!

FRYBORG Hand Cut Fries Food Truck

Picture you're a little tipsy. You walk by and smell French fries. You make your way to the truck and see a list of loaded fries and then you see the "Italian". Fries with chopped tomatoes, pesto mayo and fresh parmigiana cheese. HEAVEN! I feel like I am now a food truck junkie.

My mouth is salvating writing this post. NO LIE amazing! Even their hamburger melted in your mouth. The fries I got were $8 and the burger was $7. My first stop next time I see them at the Harbor Brewfest. Amazing!

Tipsy Cones Ice Cream Truck: Boozed Ice Cream

It's the adult ice cream truck and their ice cream is delicious. The truck is super cute.  Delicious flavors of ice cream with booze in it! Brilliant! http://www.tipsycones.com

I tried their drunken french toast, my husband got their whiskey bean vanilla and our friends got the Mexican coffee one. Great flavors. Really creamy. Small $3.50 double scoop $6.00. Very clever idea. They have non booze flavors and they even have vegan selections to choose from.

Wealthy...It's Not Just About Money

Harbor Brewfest Review: Such An Awesome Event

Imagine over 100 beers to sample from and that's just a guess. The pictures don't do justice to how fun and big this event is. 12 food trucks to eat from and we Prob tried half of them. It was super awesome. You get a glass and most stops fill up the glass. By half way you begin to sip and dump because you want to be able to experience the rest. I am not a heavy drinker. I am a social drinker and I couldn't believe how many beers I tried. Now they also have spiked cider and spiked seltzer too.

When you check in you get a wrist band and glass. In line they check IDs.

They give you water bottles and a free snack- gold fish. People walk around with pretzel necklaces. I actually had pretzel rods in my purse.

All vendors on the field and food trucks line the outside of where vendors are on the baseball field. There are hundreds of people but you don't even realize it because there is so much room. No long lines. Beer Vendors have little samples to take like stickers, paper coasters, one had tattoes to put on.

Overall it was a super awesome time and looking forward to going again next year!

This was my favorite: Chocolate Pumpkin Beer by Evil Spirits.

*Stay tuned to my food truck reviews. Some awesome new ones I tried. Just to give you an idea: Empanadas, amazing loaded fries, bbq on top of Mac and cheese, kettle corn popcorn, spiked ice cream, pulled pork grilled cheese, and much more. Just wish they had more of a sweet treat to choose from because by the end I really needed a coffee and something with chocolate.

Fall's Foliage It's A Beautiful Thing

I was rushing around like I do every weekday morning.

Dropping off one kid at preschool to then drive across town and drop off another kid to elementary school.

I finally negotiated with my two year old and she finally sat down in a car seat after hoping around the car. As I went to put my car in reverse I caught this glimpse in my side view mirror. I paused and took it in.

Stop, breath and enjoy the nature around you!

Fall's Foliage is a beautiful thing!

Describe To Me About Your Mom...

I was walking with my daughter to my car after school. I always ask how her day was and what they did. She told me they had to describe people in their life. "Mom I had to describe how you were like." Oh geez, I thought, A million things went through my head. I mean I was pretty calm this morning before drop off but doesn't mean she would remember verse the other days I was a green monster getting them ready and out the door. Of course I was hesitant and I finally asked "Wow really what did you say?"

At that point I grabbed the door handle and opened it. I heard her say "My mom is a hard worker". I stopped in my tracks. "What did you say sweetie" "Mom I told my class my mom is a hard worker. Oh and you do all the cooking and cleaning too!" She said and laughed.

Hard worker! Me?! My little girl looked up to her mom,me, and thinks of me as being a hard worker. I mean she's right. I run a business. A household. Am raising three girls and take care of two dogs. I would say hard worker is a deserved titled BUT never imagined all this time she valued me and looked at me like I was.

Needless to say I am tearing up just writing about it!

Make The Best Of Your Situation

Have The Courage To Follow Your Heart & Intuition

"Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition." Steve Jobs
