Thanksgiving Fun...Grateful and Full!
If you didn't leave your Thanksgiving gathering in pain then you didn't do it right. I ate more than I should have and would do it all over again if I could. Great food. Great company. Missed my Turkeys but glad they were happy and honestly love my family. My heart and belly are full. I hope you too got to spend it with those who you love and love you and filled your belly with great eats. Food is so important in my culture. It is like a big giant hug. We express love through it. We share our love by eating and feeding those we love. It's not just a gathering or a dinner. It's gathering with those who are good for your soul and make you leave smiling and full!

Wonder A Must See Movie #ChooseKind
What an amazing, powerful movie. I went on a field trip with the 4th and 5th graders at my daughter's school to see this today. I cried six times. Why? Because it shows you the struggles of bullying, how parents are trying their best. How everyone has a battle they are battling whether you can see it- visible or not. How kindness starts at home and how we live in a world where differences happen and can cause harm. Powerful! Perfect for grades 3 and up. Take your kids and see it.
Let Go...
I watched Iyanla Vanzant's show the other night and it was about couples deciding to stay together or not. One key thing that stood out was that sometimes people come into your life for ONE lesson, once that lesson is achieved you have to let them go and move forward. Let Go!

Judy's Bar & Kitchen In Stamford
When Southern Food has you feeling like A Southern Gal...holy moly this place is amazing. From the start you get cornbread with sweet butter to start with. Totally amazing. Warm. Comfort food at it's very best. I had to stop after my second piece because I needed room for their fried Mac n cheese balls and their fried pickles- my weakness- the best I ever had. Round. Meaty big pieces of pickles. Just oh so good. But then we get our entrees- yeah we are just getting started. Waffle fried chicken sandwich- um what? I walked back from the table for the restroom and caught my sister having a moment with her entree- yep and when I tried it I was right with her. It was just overall amazing! Warm. Savory. Sweet. A little kick. Then my burger with pimento cheese. Fried green tomato. Leftovers didn't stand a chance I ate it before bed.
Then the skillet s'mores...yeah I know. Go!
Soccer Stars
I LOVE watching them on the field, especially my middle one. She's so confident and smooth taking the ball and running with it. This is definitely a sport she should stick with. Today was the last game of the season and it is amazing to watch my little ones playing a team sport and enjoying it.
Yellow Belt...Proud Moment!
She's been asking to take karate for a while now so when I saw the program offered at school I was all over it. She was able to take yellow belt test this weekend and she passed. I think it's an awesome art but more importantly for girls and women to take it as a form of self defense. If was great to see her confidence during the test. She was strong and passionate about it. Her Dad and I went and I must say regardless of us not being together it is nice to watch our children with pride knowing that we are building them to be strong and independent and confident. That to me is a huge win over anything else.

Calling All Food Trucks CT Event
Calling all Food Trucks...I am helping my daughter's school with a Food Truck Event in April so if you own a food truck or have friends who own one have them contact me to be part of this great event. We are looking to have 5-6 food trucks and help raise money for the Schools PTO. We already have a pizza truck and ice cream truck and are looking to fill more spots. Bad Mom's 2 Is Out & Hysterical
You don't have to be a Mom to see this and walk out with your belly hurting from all the laughs. I went last night with my sisters and it was hysterical. The best part about Tuesday Movie Nights are the $7 tickets plus any size popcorn for $5.
But really loving the new theaters in Norwalk where the chairs recline and you can order adult beverages and real food- which can get delivered to your movie seats.

First Fire Of The Season Feels Like Fall & Childhood
When I was a little girl I loved waking up to the smell and warmth of the wood burning stove. My dad is an early riser so he always had it going by the time we woke up. I didn't want to stop using my wood stove this season so I started it once all the kids woke up just in case the fire alarm went off, wouldn't want them to wake up to that. I must say I am impressed that a couple hours later and it is still going strong. There's nothing more comforting than the smell of something that reminds you of your childhood and well I want my girls to continue to have that too even if it means now it's me having to start and maintain it!

Just Like That...It's Ok To Let Things Go!
It's ok to leave relationships or friendships or a job that doesn't make you feel good. I never predicted my year would turn out the way it did or the last couple years of my life but everytime I feared a situation it would happen and one day I said I don't want to feel like this anymore and I changed. It's still not that easy. But I am happy and most of the time at peace and realized you don't have to stay in a situation that doesn't make you feel good, it's ok to say no more and change. Just like that!

Mediterraneo In Greenwich...Restaurant Week!
It's restaurant week in Greenwich CT and there's still time to check out some fabolous eats! Tonight my sister and I went to Mediterraneo and it was delicious! Mussels, gnocchi, cavatelli with sausage and broccoli rabe pesto and yeah we were so stuffed but couldn't pass on dessert. Best creme brûlée. All for $35.17 a person, I know...you gotta go!
What Do Moms Really Do When They Are Kidfree...
This totally represents my Saturday as a Mom, kidfree weekend and I cleaned, decluttered and loved it. Ok so now I am paying for it and can't get off my couch. It's crazy how I never thought when my kids were with their dad for the weekend I would be doing everything I once hated- getting organized.
I got up this morning and was determined. I put away all summer warm weather clothes and pulled out the winter stuff. I cleaned. Took down Halloween decorations and am loving the house. Quiet. Clean. Yes it will change when they are back tomorrow but for now I will enjoy spending the afternoon on the couch with my hair in a bun, drinking coffee from this morning and no not Gangsta Rap but watching Pretty Woman!

Halloween Fun Filled Weekend
Halloween Fun Filled Weekend! Halloween is my favorite. Wasn't sure what to do this weekend with kids at their dad's but managed to fill my calendar up nicely. And it was spooktacular...From helping out at my daughter's school's Halloween party to going to a wine tasting paired with Halloween candy to eating spooktacular food at lunch today totally don't mind a rainy Sunday night in with my three munchkins. Hope you all had a great Halloween weekend.
