Here’s the thing about women. We always have eachother backs. We always push eachother to see our highest good, to see how amazing we are. Especially when someone else may have not appreciated us like

they should have appreciated us. Even when life doesn’t turn out how we thought it would. 

I had dinner with a girlfriend last night. We dated friends and that’s how we became close. Obviously those relationships didn’t turn out how we wanted but we got to meet eachother so that in itself was worth it. 

She’s like a warm, big, hug my soul type of gal. Her personality is like no one I ever met. We created goals for one another. We gave eachother a couple weeks to accomplish these goals. Four things we had to do and when we hang out again we had to at least started them, better yet accomplished them. 

Goals she created for me:

• Network more- grow my network for work
• Finish a house project I have been working on 
• Let the past go- don’t look back but forward 100% at all avenues and angles. We discussed what each situation taught me 
• Start reading this book she recommended “Own The Day Own Your Life”

Goals I created for her:

• Look your personality- I asked her to change her look. She doesn’t fit her inner amazing self. I know sounds awful but it’s not. When she smiles   she lights up a room and her look doesn’t represent that at all. Her happy, carefree, fun as hell personality is covered up and well she’s excited to change it. I said I wanted to peel your true self out of this mask you have. Climb out of your shell. 
• She was starting the book again that she recommended to me. 
• She will look at new places to move to create more freedom emotionally. 
• Let her past go. She’s better than any man she was ever with and know your worth. 

We all need real friends in our life that can look at us and say “know your worth.” “Make this change to better yourself”. “You’re better than that.”

Ladies we have to take this chance in life to help others. She asked what do you want your life to look like? “ I just want to be happy, I want to spread happiness, I want to be carefree and let go of all that has made me not be my true self.”

So do it! Start today.

Now that school is over it was time to load up on snacks in the house. I went to Costco and saw these. I like testing out new products in bulk only when I know other people in the house will enjoy the item too. I must admit these are really good. You wrap them in paper towel and it takes less than two minutes to heat up. Yes the sodium level is a bit high due to the turkey sausage but still not a bad breakfast meal. 

I cut out more carbohydrates by removing the bottom part of the English muffin. Even my youngest daughter enjoys it. She said it reminds her of the turkey sausage egg and cheese sandwiches we get at Dunkin Donuts. You get 12 for $11.99.

I finally made it here and I will totally be going back. It’s so much fun! My best friend was home and we planned a girls night. At first we were going to do the typical night out in Sono and I said hey I been really wanting to do to this piano bar. Of course she’s like let’s go. 

Cover was $10 a person.  We didn’t make reservations but our seats were awesome. Right in front. They give you a sheet where you request songs for them to play. Everyone is dancing and singing alone. You can throw money on the pianos to stop them singing a song and move to the next one requested. Honestly it felt like we were crashing someone’s party. The energy in the room was amazing. Everyone was having a great time. 

So many people there for their birthday. They call the Birthday person down and they sit on the piano and sing to you. It’s such a fun atmosphere. We ordered a margarita pizza that had pesto. It was delicious. 

We met a cute older couple next to us that were celebrating her birthday. She shared her champagne and birthday cake with us. She even tried to set me up with her single son who wasn’t there. Funny I know. 

I love checking out new places. I left with a happy heart. Just to experience different things and it’s not even expensive. Loved to check this place off my bucket list. 

Great vibe. Great atmosphere. Just a happy, feel

good place.Can’t wait to go back!

See we tend to think if we do what others want us to do we will be happy. Not ok.  We can’t sacrifice our happiness to please others. Now being selfish and selfless are two different things. They give you two different results in life. One makes you content with some guilt.  Other makes others content at the cost of something on your end. 

We all have made some selfish decisions in our life. I get it and being concerned with others is always important. But at what cost to your own happiness and fulfillment of life. What are you willing to let go of to make others happy? What have you let go of to make

Men thrive on feeling like a king and if you treat them like so they will treat you like a Queen. All jokes aside a good man isn't hard to find. A unwounded man is. Proud Moments...

Yesterday was filled with graduation after graduation. My oldest and youngest both graduated and it’s funny my pre k graduating actually made me cry verse my oldest. Maybe it’s that sweet innonce that you realize changes in time. Not in a bad way. Just different. The sticky kisses and random hugs change. That they become an individual that still needs you but has an opinion of stuff. Just reallly hit my heart. 

My oldest received an award for High Honors and I must say it made me proud to say that no matter what happens in life. No matter what you go through. Your kids are number one no matter what. Your role is to make sure they are good people. They push themselves to accomplish what they are capable of and being there for them always. 

Congrats to all your children who graduated or moved up to the next grade and level in life. I hope they find success in their journey. 

Are You Happy?

A friend asked me.  I usually say yes but this time I said no. Let me explain. 

As humans we tend to focus on the negatives in our life verse the positives. Right?! Yes I am right. So honestly am I happy with my life...90% yes. There’s 10% missing and that 10% actually made me say no. 

Crazy right! 

So why say no? Because it’s ok to not always make it seem like life is perfect and great. We all know we can’t have perfect lives. That’s not real at all. We all have some pain and void. We all want to make our lives better. 

If that 10% was filled would I be the happiest person in the world. Probably not. Let me explain.

Life everyday is a challenge. We wake up and go to bed. In between we are faced with noise, problems, emotions, things that trigger us. I, You, anyone. Can’t possibly ever be 100% happy. 

My life is 90% happy. That’s huge! Yet that 10% occupies a big part of my brain. A void. But I can say that I won’t allow that 10% to take the best of me. I can say I will do anything in my power to be as close to 100% happy as possible so next time someone asks you if you’re happy it’s ok to tell them how ever you’re feeling in that moment.

Why Are You Really Upset? What Triggered You?

It happens a lot. A lot of people experience anger or frustration because at the moment something triggered something in them. Maybe something from the past or pain they feel or felt. Something that made us feel helpless or weak. So we lash out or become defensive. We may argue or take out our frustrations out on someone. We may grow silent. Numb. Ignore the reality that our current mindset isn’t upset with the present but something that reopened a wound from the past. 

It’s normal but not always ok. It’s ok if you realize I was triggered. It’s not ok when you can’t find the connection and correct it. 

It happened to me.  A song triggered pain.  A song. Then a conversation.  I got upset and then had to refocus. Obviously I haven’t heal for a simple song or a conversation with an old friend to cause such a reaction in me. But acknowledging it is progress and growth. 

I can go on about what I felt but reality when you feel pain you give emotion or situation that gave you pain control. Don’t allow that. Don’t allow anyone to have control over you or your emotions. Don’t show a side of yourself that you don’t even know or like. 

Be responsible for yourself and your own healing. 

Happiness Is An Everyday Choice

Daily reminder. You have to overlook everything you have been through and keep saying “I want to be happy and that’s my only goal.”

Live Your Best Life

Are you living your best life? If not, I hope you do! 

I have been looking up some activities to join like local Meet Up Groups and adult camps just to get out and meet people and try different activities. Then ironically I had a friend from high school I used to be really close with reach out to me. He was looking for people to join his Co-Ed summer team. Sign me up I said. We began to talk about life and how things have been. He and I are friends on social media so he asks “What else have you been up to besides living your best life? It’s great to see all you’re doing and you’re happy.” 

I laughed and then I thought about it. I only post about family or my kids on my social media platforms. Nothing about dating or my personal single life. I keep people out of that part of my life. His comment stayed with me. He was right. I really am living my best life. 

And I know social media makes everything look like rainbows and sunshine. It’s really a fake upfront cover up but luckily behind the scenes I do have a great life and should be nothing but happy and grateful for it.

The lies and mix ups. The games that you don’t have time to play. Then the fun times. The great adventures. The day trips. The fun. Feeling young at heart. The excitement.  It all changes over night yet you still get up and continue living because that’s how single life is. It’s unpredictable can be painful can hurt yet can be awesome. You’re looking for the “one”. 

If you’re in a relationship or married then I hope who ever you’re with you’re not settling. I hope they make your heart and soul happy. I hope they bring out the best version of you and when they touch you and hold your hand you feel their energy throughout your body. I hope when you look in their eyes you see their soul. That deep, one of a kind connection. They distract you from the noise. Not make you want to escape life. 

 I hope you choose to spend the rest of your life with that one person who was made to love you and you were made to love them. Bring out the best version of yourself. 

That’s the goal. For us all to end up with someone who encourages us to bring out the best version of ourselves. Who helps us escape the “noise” not bring us the “noise”. Who loves us on our bad days and good. Who helps us feel young and love life again.
