Skating…Taking It Back
I grew up going to the Darien Ice Rink. I tried forever to ice skate. I wasn’t good. Not at all. So I gave up BUT I am so determined to have the little ones do it. We took them today since we didn’t do it in the City. My boyfriend was great with them. By the end my girls got the hang of it without falling. I really want to push them to learn. It’s so fun and I always felt I missed out for not really learning.
Some can do it. Some cannot. I think trying is the only way to know for sure. Hoping my girls can go at least once a month or take lessons.
Rockefeller Center… Seeing The Tree
The crowds are insane. The traffic is nuts. Seeing the tree…
You can’t explain it until you see it and the kids eyes lite you and they loved every minute and it made it all worthwhile.
It’s so magical!
I am so grateful to be sharing my life with a man who is so adventurous and keeps us safe and is reliable. He’s more than I could have ever asked for in a partner. To be able to have these experiences with our children makes me fall in love with him over and over again.
If you can get down to NYC do so! It’s so worth it.
New York…Newwww Yorkkk…Empire State Building
There’s this energy I get there. Then again don’t we all? It’s amazing!!!
We decided to take the girls for the day. Growing up everything family visited from Italy we took them to
New York. We would visit the Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island etc.
I never realized how lucky I was to do that until I brought my own kids. It was my boyfriend’s first time too and it was magical!
We went up to the 80th floor and then the 86th to the Observatory.
The view was insane. We even got to be there around sunset so the sky was gorgeous. There’s this calmness looking outside at all the buildings.
If you have never been then go! It’s so worth it. Next we will take kids to the Statue of Liberty.

Love Your Kids A Little More
There’s been events taken place at our local schools that really tugged at my heart this week. Fear the kids faced and parents really makes you stop and push to love your kids a little more. To hold them a little tighter. To want to heal those that are broken so they don’t do anything to hurt anyone because they are hurting.
As parents we don’t realize how damaging some kids can be or get. How our words and actions can push them to hurt. How we should never overlook anything and always be supportive and have an open level of communication with them.
Please love your children a little more this week. They need it. We need it. And to all the parents who had their children witness lockdown this week I am sorry you faced that fear. I am sorry your kids did too. No parent or child should ever fear them not being safe.
Westchester’s Winter Wonderland
I love this place. We go every year. Is about a twenty five minute ride from Norwalk. You drive through and it’s so beautiful.
There’s a real Santa at the end. You put your radio on the station they suggest and listen to Christmas music as you drive through. It’s really cool.
They have a snow machine too so snow is blowing.
Picture don't do justice. If you can try to see it. It’s really perfect way to get you in the holiday spirit.

Santa’s Little Helper Holiday Liqueur
My boyfriend’s mom and step father sent me this bottle. At first I thought it was spiked eggnog but it’s actually peppermint and chocolate liqueur. We poured it over ice and it was delicious. They drink it in hot chocolate too. They got it from Twelve 33 distillery in South Carolina. Can’t wait to check it out when we go visit them.

Date Night!
Being older means harder firsts when dating. So whenever my boyfriend and I can experience something new it’s always a great time.
He’s never done Korean BBQ so this past weekend we did Wafu in Westport for dinner. As always this place is so delicious. We had a blast. They changed their menu a little but we got their pork belly- my favorite and it was delicious.
We have been wanting to go to hookah. A first for him. But everywhere has been closed due to Covid. Olive Tree Hookah lounge in Milford was open.
I have been here years ago. We got Orange and mint. Was delicious. We picked up liquor on the way and hung out here for hours. There was a DJ. It’s very relaxing.
I was happy I was able to show him some new places. We love that the world is getting a little easier to have fun date nights. Date nights are so important. It’s a great way to reconnect and of course have fun! When was the last fun date night you went on?
Celebrating 13
Was a great day celebrating her turning 13.
She wanted a Greys Anatomy themed party. So I had to get creative with decorations.
I bought gummy shaped bandaids. There was operation for the kids to play. I even bought syringes that are for Jell-O shots and made it for the adults.
The kids I put ice box cake, which is pudding and graham crackers in theirs.
They were a hit!!
There’s a Teenager In My House
13…..
How can that be?! I have a teenager in my house. She’s actually amazing. She’s so smart and sweet and kind and really my best friend. I would never tell her that…. To her I am Mom. But she’s so special. She’s really so special. She still always hugs me goodbye and tells me she loves me whenever she leaves the room. We are so close and she’s made being a mom so enjoyable and easy.
She’s different.
She doesn’t follow the crowd. She doesn’t give me trouble. She’s not a typical teenager girl. She loves us. She cares and is kind and honest. She loves being with us and she makes my heart so happy. I hope she never changes!
13 years ago I became a mom and she’s made the journey so easy for me.
I will always be her number 1 Fan!!!

Fun at the Rowayton Holiday Bazaar
I go every year with my friend. We always find some fun stuff. She purchased a couple of necklaces and ornament. I got a necklace and ornament. It’s a fun way to get in the holiday spirit. There’s a $1 admission to get in.
She even bought honey you can cook with or put on toast.
It’s taking place again tomorrow.
