Did You Know Hugging?

I could have really used a hug after the craziness I had. Hugging is really powerful and soothing. Never knew it can help you trust someone. Be sure to hug someone today.

This Week Can End Already...

When you have multiple kids you run the risk of germs spreading. I swear my last three days have been filled with medicine. Tea. Pasta soup. Tylenol. Doctor visits.

At one point I lost my mind today. Yep. It happens. Not on the kids. Of course not. Not their fault but just in general. Like WTF!

Work is swamped. Kids are whining. Every time I brought one to school I had to come back for them. Yep. That type of week.

So I had a meeting at school tonight and on the way back I said F-it. Just go home and cuddle and hang and screw all the other stuff. Work is work. Life is life.

So I did. I came home and got the medicine and ice pops and cuddle. Tea. Cleaned for the 100th time and crashed on the couch.

These moments don’t last. The moments of torture never last. And I am not overreacting. If you’re a real person you get it. When your routine is off and you haven’t slept well in two days up checking on the kids and running water on wash cloths to bring their temperatures down. At one point I took them to store for more medicines and said buy whatever you want. They loaded up on junk food. We ran into a friend at the checkout line and he was laughing at our carriage of comfort food.

So the moments in your life that suck don’t last. At the moment it’s awful. But then something happens and you laugh and it’s ok and before you know it you’re back in your routine.

I was done. Depleted.

Then my little one said I made you dinner.

My middle one cuddled with me. My oldest said I love you mom.

And it all hit me. My role in life is for them. Even through the chaos. It’s for them.

Always Remember Your Role In Life...

Aging By The Hour...Daily Hustle Catches Up To You

I was getting ready this morning when my 10 year old was getting ready with me. She turns to me and says you look young. I said really how young. Well you look 46 by the end of the day but 28 in the morning.

She was so right and it’s a bit scary.

By 9:00 pm my tolerance level is zero. Even though I must admit my oldest and I have been bonding late at night while her sisters sleep. We have been watching Mr. Mom a series and finished it so now have to pick something else.

But by bed time with little ones I have raccoon eyes and am exhausted. Crazy how that works. How throughout the day we can age and well our kids notice.

I guess there’s nothing wrong with it since I wake up and look 28 every morning again, joking of course, but no matter how calm we try to remain. How at peace we are. The daily hustle catches up to us and by night it shows- according to my 10 yr old.

KISS- Keep It Simple Stupid

I always loved this phrase. Like don’t complicate things. Don’t ask for drama. Keep life simple. Magical. Romantic. Happy. Spontaneous. Adventurous. Grateful.

You have so much to give. I have so much to give. Enjoy that. Enjoy the little simple stuff.

When you’re with the right person no one else will matter. When you’re at the right job you are excited to go to work. When you’re in the right home you have peace.

Simple. How easy life could be if we accepted the simple pleasures in life.

But I am Happy...Really Happy

I wrote about this before here. I was talking to a friend. He said how many happy people do you know. Um...a ton!

Now like my previous article no one is 100% happy and if so it is short lived. But you can be happy. Not perfect. Yet happy and to me that’s important. Like really important.

There are some situations that still hurt and that’s ok. You get used to situations and go on with life. You can still be happy and carry a little pain in your heart.

I think that’s what life is about. Being happy even when things may not go your way. Even if your heart hurts. Even if we have some sadness BUT majority of us is Happy. Wake up excited to start the day. Go to bed smiling. Because nothing is ever perfect. Nothing is guaranteed. No one is going to make you happy. No one can come in and change your life. You have to.

So let it all go. Today. Anything holding your happiness back has to be set free.

I have my family and work and friends and constant fun and love of life. So I am single. My princess charming isn’t ready for me yet.

Only YOU can be in control of your life and happiness. Accept the 90%.

I promise you it helps with your health and mood and outlook on life. Don’t settle. Don’t stay comfortable.

Spontaneous has been my 2019 word and I like it. I mean love it.

Enjoy Your Week

Time Is On Your Side...

Have A Great Day... That’s All It Takes

I rolled out of bed and went for routine bloodwork. It’s super early. Like too early. So I show up and there’s a couple people there. We are all of course on our phones.

A woman walks out of the lab area and towards the exit. As she’s leaving one lady in waiting room says have a great day. The lady is a bit shocked and says thank you, same to you.

I was a bit shocked too. So then when the lady who said that was leaving I said to her have a great day and she smiled and said same to me.

I wanted to reciprocate it back to her.

When I was in Atlanta everyone was so nice. We would walk down the street and everyone would say good morning or have a great day to us.

We aren’t that friendly in the upper East Coast. We are so busy and occupied with our own lives and cell phones that when someone is polite to us we are set back and shocked.

I want you to do this today. I want you to say to a random stranger have a great day. You will see you want to do it over and over because it feels good.

Taco Tuesday Baby!

Are You Inspiring Or Draining People

Pain Teaches You A lot

We all have dealt with pain in our life. Some are worse than others. Some we have actually caused on people. Whether intentionally or not intentionally it has happened.

Pain isn’t just from a companion. It can be from a friend, a family member, a work colleague, a situation, a worldwide event or disaster. Pain comes from different avenues.

It’s is our job to take this pain and learn from it. When we suppress it it’s like putting clean laundry on top of dirty laundry. If you never get to the bottom or root of the problem the dirty messes up the clean clothes. See where I am going with this. It all blends. We can’t enjoy the good or clean clothes because those emotions are blended with the bad or dirty clothes.

Clean out your basket. Clean out your core and start over. Start filling yourself with positive experience. Pain isn’t avoidable.  But healing is your responsibility. Pain will always happen. But deal with it at the moment and move on.

What To Do With Apples After Apple Picking

There’s no school today so I told the girl’s in the morning we would bake. There’s a ton of my favorite Apple recipes to make like...baked apples..apple crisp- recipe here and apple pie in an apple- recipe here, apple turnovers- recipe here. There’s even an Apple detox blend you can make- recipe here

But this morning I decided to look up some new recipes and have the girls decide on what to bake.

15 Things to Do with All the Apples You Pick This Fall

Being A Good Mom...Doesn’t Always Mean Being THAT Mom

I have been blogging for over 10 years. I started out just about my journey of motherhood. But now I am
not just Mom. I am a foodie. I am Jay. I am a divorced mom to three girls. I am an entrepreneur. I am a girl who dates. I am a girl who has dealt with heartache and crazy life changes in such a short period of time. I am so much stronger, independent and wiser than I have ever been in my life. Self love is a major goal. Self acceptance too. I am so many things...that years ago if you told me who I would be today I wouldn’t believe you.

So I sometimes read my old posts. I like to see who I was verse who I am today. I came across this post. I swear I still am her yet so different. Things that used to have to be a certain way no longer have to be. I let go of some things and some things still remain the same. Of course my kids always come first and I still have wipes in my car and snacks well of course I carry so many snacks so much that even my mom jokes my “4th” daughter knows to come to me when she’s hungry because I always have enough for everyone.

So maybe I am sort of still that Mom but now I am so much more and I kind of really like her and hope the world does too!

Yes I Am That Mom...Well Maybe Just A Little Bit...

Blue Jay Orchards In Bethel

This is one of my favorite orchards for apples. You pre pay for a bag and go picking. There are a ton of different apples. You have to be careful because the bitter ones are the better ones for baking and the sweater ones are better for eating. My girls love apples and I love packing them for lunch so I kept going back for more fugi.

I love this orchard because across the street is where you can go on a tractor ride and their store is filled with awesome goodies. Best Apple cider donuts ever.

The tractor ride has these cute signs of how an Apple tree grows and no matter how many times I go on these things one fact always sticks with me.

This time it was this: it’s takes an Apple tree six years to grow before it producers apples. 6 YEARS.

Can you imagine? I would be like after three years thinking yeah this tree was a dud. But nope. You have to wait six years before it’s gives you apples. This is where patience needs to set in.

I was that mom reading out loud about all the fun interesting facts. After we started to joke around with the kids and quiz them.

It was a perfect Sunday morning. Next up to will be pumpkin picking.

What Do You Release So You Can Attract?
