Barcelona in Stamford
It’s been a crazy week so I needed some distraction. It was good to get out and enjoy a nice dinner outside. I love Barcelona. I love how you can get a ton of tapas and it’s so cost friendly. The hummus is a new app to try and it’s delicious. Their paella with meat is amazing. It was nice to catch up and relax a bit. The weather was perfect and my bourbon spice rack drink reminded us of a night out. Life is slowly going back to normal.

Being Loved Isn’t Always That Simple
You can love someone. Long even after things end or friendship end. But feeling loved is completely different.
I have been in situations when you don’t feel loved even if you know they care about you. It’s not a fun feeling. I feel people stay in relationships for years like this. YEARS.
Simple solution…
Change or end things. Simple right?
Yet so many people run around in circles. I hope I never get in a situation like this again where I know someone loves me but isn’t loving me how I need to be loved. I hope you too never have to be in this position.
I hope if we are ever in this position we have the courage to change or say something or walk away.
When Your Family Expands
I got to spend half of my Saturday with her and it was like hanging with a buddy. Loving her is easy since she’s so sweet and I love her Dad. She really was so happy and fun to be with.
We went to Silverman’s Farm and she got to feed the animals. We even got yelled at by a donkey. Lots of laughs and the farm is so clean and fun.
After we did lunch at Romanacci and the minute she asked to sit next to me not across me is when I knew we would be buddy’s for a long time.

A year ago I never imagined my life this way. I never imagined sharing my life with people who feel like they have been there all along.
It’s great to have them with me and my family. It’s great to expand our love and create memories.

Watermelon Margarita From Spotted Horse in Shelton
After strawberry picking we went to the Spotted Horse in Shelton for my father’s bday lunch. I always loved the one in Westport.
The one in Shelton was huge. They screwed up my reservation but got us in right away. The waitress Lisa was amazing and so friendly. The food was delicious. It was a great experience!
The watermelon Margarita so was refreshing especially after the heat we had today. It wasn’t too strong or sweet. I also loved the option to have a sugar or salt rim.
My Dad loved it here too, so I was glad. He deserves a great day after all he does for all of us!
Jones Farm Strawberry Picking
We come every year and it’s so fun. It was very hot so we weren’t in the field too long with the kids but our group picked a ton of strawberries and it was delicious.
So many ripe strawberries. Make sure to go and enjoy the beauty of nature and farms.
When You Know You Picked The Right One
It’s not just about strawberry picking or is it?
This picture is perfect not because I love him so much it’s because I remember when I entered the dating world. I didn’t date for 20 yrs prior to it so I was clueless and I started to think about what I wanted.
I didn’t think what I wanted was asking for much. It’s true when they say you were just asking the wrong person.
All I wanted was good company. Someone who would love and respect me and my kids and enjoy their time with me and my family.
I remember I was seeing someone for six months and when we broke up we stayed friends. I said I just want to meet someone to go strawberry picking again. He replied good luck finding that. Men don’t do that after divorce and dating again. I didn’t believe him but it did stay in the back of my mind.
I never thought my request was a big deal. I mean who doesn’t like eating fresh fruit but it wasn’t about that. It was about finding someone who will have fun with you no matter what you’re doing.
Whether you’re home or riding around or picking fruit. It wouldn’t matter as long as you enjoyed their company and they enjoyed yours.
I knew I picked the right one when I asked if he wanted to join us and he said yes without any hesitation. It wasn’t because he wanted strawberries. Well maybe. But really it was because it was a fun activity for him to do with me and my family and that’s all I have been looking for all along.
