Who Cares...Just Do It
I had to join a gym. It was time. I missed it. I now love it. I put my hair in a braid. Leggings and a black shirt. Sometimes a hoodie until I sweat to death. I am a hot mess. It’s awesome.
Today a beautiful girl comes to work out next to me. Her hair is perfect. Her makeup is professionally done. She’s matching leggings with her sleeveless tank top.
At first I am like damn I look awful next to this one but then I say who the hell cares. I am suppose to look like a hot mess at the gym.
Get my point people. Who cares. You’re making an effort to better you. Not impress anyone at all. Impress yourself.
I left with my hair down to air out my sweaty mess. I am red like a tomato and I felt amazing. Hot mess and all.
You do the same for yourself. No one else.
It’s A New Day...
You can bring into the day pain in your heart and it’s ok. Just keep shining and know it’s a new day. ❤️
What To Do With Your Kids This Weekend?
I love looking up local events especially around the holidays. Not sure what to do this weekend? Check out this awesome guide.
It’s That Time Of Year...Oh Jax
It’s our third year we got together around the holidays since she moved. We end up eating too much. Laughing too much. Even shed some tears. She always visits this time of year and we make a point to get together. Usually order in and my sister hosts. We have some apps and just hang out and talk for hours. Normally it’s me on the couch by the end of the night taking a power nap before I leave.
We have been friends since 1998. Those are the best friendships. You watch eachother grow. Help eachother through pain. Prime years for partying and becoming an adult. College roommates. We travel together every summer. It’s to add to our memory bank. To add to our stories and belly laughs.
Lasting friendships. Where you know when they call you would drop what you’re doing for them. Those are the best friendships. Where it doesn’t matter how time passes. You just know they are in your heart and life for a reason. It’s now family status. No longer friends. Family. Where you know they will be in your life forever and you’re grateful for that.
What a great life when you have so many amazing people in it. Who helped shaped you. Added to your journey. Are a part of your heart. Cherish those friendships and people.
You Need To Grow...Break The Same Cycle
When I saw this it hit me... I have been moving in circles on and off this year. Even though I have made awesome memories. A ton of progress in my life. Check marks off my bucket list. Still in my heart and head there is a disconnect. A same situation. A same outcome. Holding on when you know deep down it’s been the same ride for the last eight months. Same outcome.
When do we learn? When do we allow repeated messages and words and emotions to stop. When do we say I will break this cycle. I will not move in circles anymore. I can’t grow that way. I must break through old habits, stop repeating behaviors in order to grow. If you keep doing the same things you will keep getting the same results. People don’t change. People don’t want to change. You have to change.
Repeat after me:
I must break patterns. No more living my life emotionally in circles. What’s meant for me will
be but if I keep holding on nothing will change. If I don’t change how can I ever fully be or get what I really need. Today I choose to break cycles. No more living by my heart. I will use my brain. I will process and not let emotions change how I feel. I will know life is in my control. I need to love me. I need more and can’t get it living in repeated behaviors.
Real True Connections
I always joke next marriage will be for money but it’s not true. I don’t believe that’s the path to happiness. Depend on yourself. Believe in love. Believe there is someone out there who needs you as much as you need them...not for money but for soul purposes. Life’s adventures. Experiencing new places and cultures and food and music. Someone who you bring out the best in them and they bring out the best in you.
Isn’t that what companions are meant to do?

What’s Important To You?
*The Angry Therapist
So many things teach us things. We walk away with knowledge. We can’t build the perfect person. We can though know what to look for again.
Healing Is Your Responsibility
I am not saying it’s right. I am saying in life you won’t always get the apology you’re looking for. You have to still heal. You hold on to these issues, fear, pain and project it on to other people who have nothing to do with the pain.
Healing starts by accepting what happened. Come to terms with it. You have to know things happen in life. Out of our control. No one can tell you to get over it. Take your time but do unbury those emotions. Bring them to surface. Face them. They will hurt. Let it.
Meditate. When you meditate picture the situation. Even yell at the person who hurt you and then say I forgive you or I have accepted what you’ve done to me or I am ready to no longer hold on to it and I release that pain. I release you. I release what you did. I release the pain. I set you and it all free.
We all have baggage. A past. Situations that no one should have to experience but we owe it to ourselves to heal. To face it. Embrace it, release it and set it free.
I pray you heal too and know that you do deserve much more than the pain that was given to you.

It’s Ok She’s Growing Up
We laughed the whole car ride and blasted Christmas music. Singing on the top of our lungs. It was like hanging out with a girlfriend. I would never tell her that. I am mom. I have to let them always know we aren’t friends but doesn’t mean I don’t love every second I get with them. Especially one on one. When I can absorb them. Focus on just them. That moment
She tried out for auditions to a play. She’s so cute and sweet yet tough and smart. Very independent but still wants me to lay next to her as she falls asleep.
Whenever I look at her I picture my four year old and smile. She’s really something special. I love she kisses me goodbye at school drop off and rests her head on my shoulder at events.
Just take a time out and enjoy them. It’s hard as hell. Especially when they talk back or don’t listen. But really these ages change. Kids change. Just enjoy it when you can. And embrace them growing. It’s so fun. I love her age and thought I wouldn’t but I do.
Light Shows in Connecticut
Last year I took the girls to the Light Festival and we are going back Sunday night. While I was looking it up I came across this article that list other places in Connecticut.
The Christmas Lights Road Trip Through Connecticut That Will Take You To 5 Magical Displays
Let Go. Learn. Make Space For Better.
There’s people who always will try to bring out the bad side of you. Hold on to grudges and arguments. Some people like to poke at you to see what they can get away with. It’s best to let go of anyone who doesn’t make you feel good. Dismisses you. Make space for better things to come in. Life isn’t meant for drama and anger and hurting people. It’s meant to be able to speak your truths and have fun and enjoy life.
Learn to let go. Make peace with it. Make room for better. Move on.

Feed Good Holiday Song: Hallelujah
It was a rough Christmas that year. Everything seemed to fall apart. This song kindof was my saving grace. It’s funny how music heals you. I can still picture everything that time of my life. Like a vivid movie. Replaying in my head. It was one thing after another. It’s easier now to cope but somethings still trigger that time of my life, this season. Maybe that’s why I try to find a lot of joy in it because I once experienced a lot of pain during it. Regardless it is our job to heal. This song helped me. Finding happiness in times of sadness helps you go through life.
Happy Thursday...Enjoy This Moment
Enjoy this moment. If you keep waiting for things to change life will just pass you by. I had different expectations for this year. I won’t lie. That’s where a lot of our hopes and failures come in. “Unmet expectations” cause more bad than good. So I had to let go of the idea I had in my head and embrace the reality in front of me. Wasn’t easy to do but once you do you appreciate the little things, those things bring happiness. You appreciate your little victories and successes. You let go of the picture in your head. You fully accept things for what they are not what you think they should be. Stop waiting...for that special moment or special someone or “I will be happy when”
Be happy now.

Let’s Go For A Ride....Spontaneous Holiday Ride
I had a meeting tonight after I picked up the girls and my mom and said we’re going for a ride. A friend messaged me a couple days ago and told me to stop by with the kids to see his light display on Mystic Lane. So that was our first stop. It looked amazing.
He also told us about a house in Norwalk on Mark Drive. We took a ride but the lights weren’t up yet. So we just kept driving around. It broke up the night. Set the holiday mood. We grabbed hot chocolate and listened to holiday music. Spontaneous fun on a school night.
Where’s your favorite place to see holiday lights?
